STRENGTHS

• Built Tough - The Songsteel plates strongly resist common weapons like blasters, slugthrowers, vibro-weapons, and even some protection from lightsabers.
• Sealed Environment - The Armour is a fully self-contained environment, allowing it to be used in a vacuum or hostile environments for short times, or longer if additional oxygen is carried.

WEAKNESSES

• Clank, Clank, Clank - Being primarily composed of metallics, sneaking in the armour is extremely difficult if not impossible, as the metal plates are noisy as they hit each other.
• Weakpoints - Since the Songsteel plates don't provide 100% coverage several spots around joints, the neck, and bend points are only protected by the armourweave undersuit, not getting the benefits of the Songsteel's protection.
• Radical - Dreadgaurd Armour only protects from alpha and beta radiation, gamma rays find it very easy to pass through, and thus the wearer should not spend extended time in irradiated areas.

DESCRIPTION

Dreadguard Armour is designed for Darth Morta's Elite troops, it is based on Mandalorian designs to help with the intimidation factor. Though unable to get sufficient Beskar to produce the armour Songsteel proved to be an adequate alternative material for the armour plates, having lightsaber-resistant properties and stong protection from energy weapons as we all slugthrowers and common melee weapons.
