- Split Personality: The Shield, forged in two pieces, splits apart at the touch of a button within the back handle. This allows Drego wield both halves on each arm, using them as a brutal melee weapon.
- Rock Bottom: The edges of Hra'ne Choruk are razor sharp, designed for brute force impalement of the enemy, with the added benefit of a cortosis weave edge, allowing the disruption of enemy lightsabers.
- Stubborn As a Ruus: The Shield is designed to be stored, as a whole, on Drego's back. Piercing through it is a challenge for even the most powerful weapondry, as it is forged from the materials designed to deflect turbolasers if need be.
- Like a Stone in a Lake: The Shield, forged from metal known for it's weight, is heavy. Very Heavy. While Drego is known for his ability to powerlift, using this as a weapon for any extended period can quickly tire out even the most jacked warrior.
- Electrical Malfunction: The splitting function is known to be a bit finnicky if hit with heavy EMPs, or heavy electrical attacks.
Due to his non-use of a jetpack, Drego believed that he needed to protect himself from the rear, giving himself a shield that was personally forged for him. The Hrae'ne Choruk, or Great Stone, represents that, marked with the symbol of his clan, the great shield is designed as both a form of protection, and as a brutal weapon should he need it.
