Drifting (Open Technique Training)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
The riftstone, something that she had found with Maple in an ancient jedi citadel.... concealed within a transdimensional vault that was used to hide it from even a secret group..... given the levels of secret that had gone into keeping it concealed. She had been trying to study everything she could from it. That meant they had a technique they could use... and what best to use it. She could work on it while giving the jedi of the silver order a chance to learn a technique few others did.

How to drift along the passage of time and see into the past itself. So she opened the room on the library station as it came into orbit above Kashyyyk and the AI was setting it up with runabouts to bring them in. THe massive station looked like a monolith from the Ones or from the rift. Big and black with a force signature as it was lined with the synthweave of pontite and solari.

Casting warmth and calming energies of the lightside to everyone there. CHambers filled with artifacts and ifnormation about jedi from different eras, datacrons and notes from holocrons now lost that she had studied and used her comprehension and memoriy enhancement skills to recall for later use. Matsu sat there while she looked up towards the door crossing her legs.

More than any other member of the Silver Order, Matsu was knowledgeable about all the most obscure knowledge related to the Force. She probably could have easily qualified to be the Order's chief Archivist if she wanted the position.

Sometimes Jyoti like to pick her brain while researching the Force, on a quiet mission to understand the universe.

Today Matsu had returned to the temple with something interesting, some item related to warping the fabric of space-time. She could think of all sorts of uses for power like that.

it wasn't hard to find Matsu, the immediate area being swathed in light side energies. It left her with a small buzz as it brushed against her form like gentle rays of sun.

From there, she started wandering around a bit, poking her head into each room until she found Matsu's exact location.

Looking up as someone was entering the room or at least bringign their head in the jedi master remained where she was and spoke. "Welcome Master Nooran." A small grin on her face while she set the stone in place at the center of a circle and was rising up. Hand pulling the cane to her but she didn't need it... but it was a gift from Maple so she used it.. plus she was older it made her look distinguished as the monolithic station was going around. "Are you hear because of the discovery we found."

Ever since the meet up on Datooine with Maple and Matsu Sukai was always interested in what the Jedi master was up to. Each passing day, with her learning more about the woman just increasing her want to learn from the seemingly all powerful master Jedi. It was kind of strange how she did not seem to take any major position in the council, but they where the CEO of Sasori so it was believable to some extent.

Today she had head news of the master returning with some item of interest, everywhere she went the light side shining brightly as a sun. The young Jin following the flow in the force to it's source, poking a head around the corner, spying [member="Jyoti Nooran"] in the process. If she was here the item in question was undoubtedly of utmost importance.

Founding the corner she poked a head out from behind the Eehcnai master, gazing at [member="Matsu Ike"], just hearing her little remark about a discovery. "Ahhh, so you did find something, what is it,"?

The force has always interested Jasper for many reasons that he considers important and he wanted to know as much as he could about it so it would help him the future. The Jedi cube he gotten from a Jedi a while back opened the door into his understanding of the force if only basic but he felt he needed to understand to his most basic form that he could. In order to that, he felt he must know everything about it.

That is why he came into the order and why he came to this current location. Walking around the area, Jasper noticed lights in a area and followed them to show a few people. He recognized one of them, master Nooran but didn't know the other two.

Tempest was studying far in the back, alone. She normally preferred quiet, but the commotion drew her curiousity to set aside her texts. She felt an excitement for having recognized Master Ike, under whom she had taken a class or two, many months ago, before she had become assigned to the Dominion.

Tempest approached and stood near the Masters, she noticed the stone not far from her feet. It looked quite unique. She figured it must serve some fascinating purpose if its been brought to the library. Certain stones are capable of filtering or forming energy spikes which Jedi have learned to utilize.

Not long living among the Silver Jedi before working with the Dominion, nor since her return, the Padawan did not know most. She met the Order's hierarchy once at a gathering, but could not put names to faces, especially since they thought her too young and inexperienced to contribute. She took it personally back then, only proving their point. But today, she can see things a bit differently.

The Padawan silently bowed, as her many questions bubbled up within her eyes.

"Welcome welcome." She said it and was able to see some of the others who were coming as the jedi master stood to her full height. Where she was able to look around the small area and make points on the circle for them all. "Welcome to the library, this is one of the research and meditation rooms. HOpefully the artifact we found will be safe here and you'll all be able to learn how to see into the force with it." A smile was on her face while she walked around. "Does anyone here know who the Aing-Tii are?"

Sukai diverted her attention to the other present, giving a quick look down of the new arrivals, one dark skinned man and a blonde woman, both dressed in white clothing. She did not know them by name or face, but could feel the light side coming from them, probably other members interested in seeing what Matsu had brought back.

Peaking of which, the Jedi master had lured the group back to her findings, asking about the Aing-Tii, a name which rung a small bell in the Jins mind. "From what I know they are a reclusive force sensitive monk like species, believe in the force having no real side or something along those lines"? "I unfortuntaly do not know a whole lote about them though". Quite a bit of knowledge being something the old Jedi Order had kept hidden away.

Jasper notice another person(Yore) in the area and quickly examined her before focusing his attention back on the Jedi Master(Ike). He hoped to gain whatever he can from her and this training session. Jasper thought about the question and if he remembered learning anything about the Aing-Tii from his Jedi cube or his time at the temple but to no avail. “I do not know anything about them.” He admitted. He heard Yumi explain what they are and made mental notes on the subject along with notes on the girl like he did with Yore.

He knew the question on the Aing-Tii was asked for a reason but he didn't know why. He assumed the question was related to the training session he and the others were about to do and waited to see what Master Ike was going to do next.

Wow! Tempest was starting off her studying from the beginning, and today's topic started with ‘A’ so she she was lucky to have touched on the first encyclopedia.

She listened attentively to the question and the answers, and offered limited insight.

”Master Skywalker believed their study of the concept of the Force was perhaps in terms of we label today as gray. He determined that spending time with the Aing-Tii quite possibly paved the way for Jacen Solo to delve into a state of relationship with the Force which initiated his plummet to the Darkside.”

Better yet, thinking about it logically, maybe Tempest would rather not study too far in depth about anything such a culture left behind. She felt it perhaps dangerous to do so, especially without lots of philosophical conversations with her Master to correct any misconceptions which might surface from independent study of such a culture with contradictory beliefs to those of the Jedi.

Matsu was looking at them and as they spoke she clasped her hands behind her back. "You are not wrong... not completely correct but not wrong. The AIng-Tii's methods, their teachings are more open. They can make you see into different aspects of the force and not be fearful or worried if you are using them. It can be dangerous but it is also a ways to understand." She moved walking and held up the stone. "Though their presence only goes so far, this stone just happened to be from their region of spac e. It has absorbed the energies of the rift itself. Allowing someone trained in the aspects of the Ta-Ree to use techniques that can't be seen outside fo that region of space." She placed it for a moment to let the students touch it. "But from the research into the stone it is not from here. It is from another dimension. Much like void stone but where that dampens the force this is more something that created a force bubble in a universe filled with the anti-force."

The Aing-Tii seemed mysterious enough for an ancient civilization. Tempest wondered just how much of them could ever be acurately understood. That the Master knew enough to speak of them though, made them seem only slightly less cryptic. Their capabilities still seemed to be something far more mystical than most, and probably best left unattempted to be recaptured.

Tempest timidly touched the rock when it was shown to her. She thankfully did not connect with anything unusual as she did so.

"Wait! There are possibly Force techniques which are only inclined to people of different regions...or dimensions in space?"

Sukai cocked her head at [member="Matsu Ike"] own explanation, taking into account the different nature of it, the method of teaching that was alluded to being interesting. One thing that lead people down that dark side was fear of the force and also the rate at they used their emotions, but if one where to not let their mind linger on it for too long such could mean a person would be able to use both sides without falling into the trap of the dark. Of course it was one of those easier said then done thing, no doubt such would take a long time to wrap ones head around.

Sukai took a seat at a nearby table while Matsu continued to talk, her eyes growing wide as the woman talked about cross dimensional aspects of the rock. [member="Tempest Yore"] seemed just as surprised as Sukai was, voicing almost exactly as what she had in mind, "Is such similar to those that practice the magic arts and other un-unorthodox ways of the force that many cann't do themselves"?

Matsu looked at Tempest and bowed her head. "Yes there are, on some worlds the ability to use ice as a means of seeing and spying across the planet have been developed, on deserts the ability to make constructs from the sand, on water worlds pulling from the water itself small amounts of oxygen to breath underwater without equipment. Bending space and reality with the force is harder but no less dictated by the region you are in." THe jedi master remained there though while she was moving and looked at each in the class. "Other species though, their way of seeing and using the force differs but debating the many views is something of itself and everyone could end up with a differing opinion for now lets just stick with this one and practice your mental focus. You need to be able to anchor yourself here and now, to something within this room, within this time and place first."

Tempest's mouth fell agape at the details Master [member="Matsu Ike"] shared. She quickly caught herself and smiled as she recovered her composure, but her eyes beheld a twinkle of utter wonder.

She heard the words the Master spoke, but did not comprehend them at first. Then something inside her clicked regarding the Master's intentions, and she realized that right then and there the Master is planning on exploring the transcendental capabilities of this other dimensional miracle stone, and is willing to allow those in the room to participate.

Apprehension for the unfamiliarity of the experience lightly shrouded her being, but she wanted so to be here and now, and to try!

Jasper just watched, listened and learned the whole time. He didn't want to partake in any discussions unless he needed to in this learning group. He curiously began to rise once he heard what the Jedi master said. He didn't think the force could do the things what she said. " Would it be safe to even try what you're saying?" He asked to the Jedi Master, a look of concern showing on his face. "Connecting with the Force to do something like this....there has to be a cost."

The words coming from Matu's mouth where those of power one only hear about in legends and myth, such techniques that where border line, impossible even with the most advanced force power could not recreate. Then again to every legend their is some type of truth to it, perhaps these strange powers Matus talked about where real, but had just never been recreated for so long. Despite the 'oh wow' sense coming from the event [member="Jasper Candos"] did raise a good question such skill where most likely really complicated and new. "Is that what the device you have their is for master Ike? to help one gain the knowledge capable of performing such powers"?

[member="Matsu Ike"] [member="Tempest Yore"]

Unfortunately, almost as soon as Jyoti was addressed by Matsu, she had to step out for a restroom break. It took her a while to find a unit within the labyrinthine structure. So when she returned, the class had already begun.

There were talks of the Ang-Tii. Jyoti wasn't an expert on the race, but she was familiar with their reputation for all sorts of strange abilities related to the manipulation of space-time. They were always a subject of great interest to the Jedi Master because of her own preferences for dimension hopping, but she never had the opportunity until now.

The exact nature of this rift business was still a mystery to her, so she remained quiet and waited for Matsu to provide an explanation for everything.

Matsu looked at them and spoke. "Yes Knight Yumi... maybe. Myself and your brother discovered the device with some notes at the citadel with Maple... but aside from just a few things the jedi were never able to fully test it. The abilities to use the rift are soemthing closely guarded." She said it and there was only a few she could think of who even had met the Aing_tii in person... not just been turned away by their ships. The other one asking about the price. "There is always a price though sometimes it is not obvious though the inherit limitations of the rifts borders usually handles that. It would be like going into the monolith and trying to use the techniques from within there on anything else. It just wouldn't work." Another place few went the ancient thing was a nexus of primordial force energy that almost seemed to make one enter oneness able to form their body with the force itself. Matsu offered a look though while she touched it and tapped a little. "Half the fun of being a jedi is getting to explore to things or old things that have had knowledge lost."
