DESCRIPTION
Stretching back to the early days of Werr Drive Yards (WDY) was their vessel production contracts for the CIS. Leading up to the birth of the Empire WDY worked on improvements for those designs in the background. With the dissolution of the CIS they used Aleratha Tel'alith Aleratha Tel'alith 's comm tech to reactivate their ships and bring them home for repainting. These assets gave birth to the fleet that formed Werr Shipping & Security (WS&S). The company was staring down the reality of trading blows with the Empire via their subsidiaries security contracts. Many theoretical designs went into production but the Droid Craft Hull was put at the top of the list.

The Droid Craft Hull went into private testing & distribution in WS&S along with a couple trusted individuals. It allowed ships like the Recusant & Providence to carry huge amounts of droid ships. The system also allowed ships like the Munificent to act as its own comms/trade/carrier combo vessel. It would take the company time to refine the process & design, and then bring the system to market seeing that the Empire didn't rely on droids. Thus allowing the company to help others with their droid fueled design work, for good or ill in the long run.
