Drugs or Ghost Emperor?

@[member="Darth Vornskr"] (Y U CHNGE U NAM?!)

Between the Fall of Dromund Kaas and the Siege of Korriban, while the Zambrano Emperor was in captivity by the Republic after his failure at Ossus...

So it is true then, Zambrano had let Ossus fall... his Ossus fall. There was little actual sentiment to the territory, but it had been territory he had held in life, thus his blackened abyssal absent heart boiled imaginary blood within the confines of his ectoplasmic apparition at the thought he had lost anything. He was still ticked that he had not felt the presences of his slaves protecting the Obsidian Throne... such a waste of resources could only have been the work of Ardik or the lesser Imperials there after him. That was, at least what he had hoped for his old "friend", if such a word could be used with Voracitos.

The very fact though that as such an hour the precise and intelligent Zambrano choose this point in time to fail so miserably on so many fronts, it actually made him question their history together. How is it, that at this point in time the Galaxy collapse upon their Empire? Was it because the saw weakness in it after Voracitos? That would be a comforting thought, that had evidence to back it up with the number of Emperors they have had in recent times.

It had taken longer than usual to do so, but eventually a probe of his had found the likely location of where Zambrano was being held. Voracitos's spirit had awoken form its stupor it had been placed under after unleashing probably the largest performed occurrence of Torture by Chagrin ever having been done. He had been doing a lot of that recently, probably breaking records. He knew it couldn't last though, like him, the Darkened Shards would eventually degenerate into but faint wisps of what they had once been, the more energy they expended over time. He had already performed Sith Alchemy half way across the galaxy and now the greatest area effect of Torture by Chagrin ever recorded... if that were of course, recorded.

Upon awakening from his moment of weakness (painful memories induced by his own Chagrin effect), it was time to make this right. That first included a few visits here and there. The first stop, was of course, Zambrano. He was Epicanthix though, which would make things difficult. He would have to appear before him while obscuring himself from whatever may be containing him. There was also the issue of trust, as it was most likely that the Republic was attempting to get information out of him. The appearance of a ghost may seem more like something induced by drugs, made to make him reveal secrets of the Empire.

He would get the message across though.

"You spineless fool!" Ghost spittle sprayed him as Voracitos appeared in a flash of green mist, shrouded by a cloak of the mind, cutting off anyone but the Epicanthix from seeing this little meeting.

Kaine languished on a Republic prison ship en route to Coruscant, wrapped in chains made of nearly unbreakable mandalorian iron, and surrounded by a wall of Light-side energy. Kaine's memories were fuzzy of the time after Diana had pinned him against a pillar in the courtyard of the New Coral City command center, except for the clear fact that the entire Jedi Council had struck him with their combined strength to subdue it. That comforted him slightly, knowing that it took their strongest to lay him so low, but now his despair and hate threatened to consume all that he was. Then a voice came to him, harsh and spiteful, and he recognized that spectral roar for who it really was. "Voracitos... I had wondered where you ran off to." Those who were monitoring the subdued Emperor would most likely be baffled when he started talking to the air in front of him, and probably thought him completely bonkers. "What brought you to my humble abode?"

"Humble indeed, Kaine. Our Capital has fallen to the Mandalorians in your absence and your capture, and now I see with my Uncountable Eyes that Korriban shall soon be under siege. My Korriban, Kaine! Mine!" He yelled at the newest edition to the Emperor-Hasbeen's.

"I'm dead Kaine, and memory is all I have left, the only thing I have left to hold on to, to anchor myself to. You have no idea the hardships I must suffer being dead. I'm losing more than I can hold Kaine, and that angers me deeply. Deep enough to forsake our past acquaintanceship and make your existence in this life worse than death, to pay for my ailments. The fall of Dromund Kaas is allowable, the fall of Ossus is allowable... but the fall of Korriban is a day I shall not allow myself to see. In life, I hold no such sentiments, but in death it is all that I hold. My hate for Ashin is rivaled only by my insatiable desire to hold on to the past." The presence of Voracitos shrunk a little as his more petty of emotions got the better of him.

"If I must take all that I possessed in my past life and hoard it on to some Force Forsaken World, then I'll do it, and you Kaine, will be it's first edition. If Korriban falls, you too shall be Ashin, and my Hate for you shall turn you into a collectible for my grand museum. Are my intentions clear?" He stared deeply into Kaine, searching for something without quite knowing what it was. He hated how he was Epicanthix. If he got his way, when all was said and done, it would be the first race to be extinguished from this Universe. Damned mental immunity.

Kaine laughed long and hard, "You are a fool, Voracitos. A relic of a bygone age, and you dare come to me chastising me for my short comings? The audacity of the dead continues to astound me! First Karin, and now you... By the God belows, I pray that I don't find Moridin hiding in my wardrobe, or better yet... Will the Ghosts of the Jedi haunt me next? Will Teferi Efreet haunt my refresher? The possibilities are endless, Voracitos. Do not continue to bore with me with the delusions of a specter, you are nothing... NOTHING! How you have not been devoured by chaos bewilders me. Begone Voracitos, and crawl back to the hedonistic pit from which you were spawned." Kaine laughed again and slumped back against the wall of his cell, obviously not caring for what the long dead Emperor had to say to him. All was lost to Kaine now, his purpose, and his drive lost the moment he was clad in irons by the Republic dogs.

And que snap...

"RAAAAHG!" The ordinary blue hue of a specter suddenly turned molten and filled with thunderous fire, and cackling crimson lightning, his illusion of nonexistence failing momentarily as the lights around the vicinity of Kaine's cell flickered. His image grew larger as a meaty and decayed hand that could have easily been mistaken for actual flesh, grabbed hold of the helpless Kaine's neck. The death in the face of Voracitos showed through the illusion of a specter who created his image in the form of what he was in life. The corpse still rotting on Korriban might as well have handled Kaine's body itself. The ethereal mist that accompanied Voracitos became like blood spouting bubbles of fire. This though, was no illusion to be seen through, this was what counted as the Physical Manifestation of his ghostly form. This was the ghost of his rage, that brought him beyond the plane of death. He was on the verge of simply killing him there, if not for his value to him.

"A fool I may have been Kaine, but I was not such a fool who allowed his force of will to falter! Chaos does not get to choose when I am done with this world, I choose when to shove my carcass down its seven throats when I am done with the living." His rotten teeth ground audibly against each other. "And with you Kaine, I am not done. Your failure is Capital compared to mine, for I kept the Empire in check, while you let it burn by infidels. And why? Because you have petty chains wrapped around your neck and a penchant for a destruction that cares not who the victim is. So let me get to the point of the matter," He left the sentence hang as his grip squeezed tighter around Kaine, stooping his head lower and closer to his face, and awaited his strangled reply.

Kaine laughed despite the ghastly hand wrapped around his throat, "That's the Voracitos I like to see! So angry, so spiteful, goooood... You haven't lost any of it after you were turned into a rotting tub of flesh by that pitiful Ardik child." Kaine struggled slightly against the ghost's grip, but seeing as how Kaine was bound by the chains holding him to the wall, he couldn't do much. So he decided to just roll and humor Voracitos, "Very well, Voracitos. You seem to have the upper hand in this place, so get to the point!" He said with a half snarl half choke, spit flying out of his mouth with it.

"Don't you patronize me!" He squeezed aggressively to the mention of Ardik, who would not have killed him if not for the lethal combination of his force-negating genius and his poor health that depended on the force of his mind to continue on.

"There is a war coming Kaine, a war of fire and blood, and I shall be responsible for its conjuration. I will see Ashin Varanin die, but not before I burn everything she has ever touched or loved to the ground! Your part in this Kaine, is to accept and be the coward you have become. For all your accomplishments and titles and strengths, you are still inept. You had essentially been running the Empire since its fruition along side my political maneuvering and machinations, but yet you allowed this to happen. You rallied your slaves to die, where there should have been victory. What is worse, you gave the Republic a larger victory than any battle won: your leadership. Without you, who knows how many lesser Emperor's shall come this way and be paved over by the growing Republic War Machine? But enough of your failures, they pain me physically to think of them they are so great. Your purpose in all of this, is to hide. Your purpose is to leave the realm of the Imperial Theme, and instead play the role once more of saboteur. Weaken my enemies from within Kaine, so that I may pave a path through with a poised blade above the vulnerable and frail heart of the Conqueror of 10,000 Worlds." The bubbling lakes of blood began to sink, into some invisible grate, while the corpse form of Voracitos began to return to its former form, and once again the mist began to accompany him from the dissipating blood. His hand left its grip from Kaine, and allowed his weight to return to the floor. He was still before him, but his anger had subsided as what he believed to be the fulfillment of his will had been accepted by his former acquaintance.

Kaine laughed again, "You think me a coward... Fool, you are as blind as you are dead. The Empire was a dying beast, Voracitos. It had been poisoned by you, and Ardik, and Dranok, you're all fools. I could not salvage the mistakes you had imposed upon the Empire, no matter how hard I tried. You had your chance for greatness, Voracitos, and you condemned yourself and the Empire along with you in your death throes. Ashin will always be the better Sith than you, and I hope she rips your spirit limb from limb, such as you deserve. You cannot command me, you blithering idiot, I will not be commanded by rabble such as you. I may be in chains, but I am still Sith, and you are nothing, you know nothing. One who knows nothing, can understand nothing, Voracitos! You will not find your pawn here, so as I have said before. Begone! And bother me no more with your prattling..."

"Aww does my voice sting the emotions of my petty friend? Do not delude yourself Kaine, this is my time to laugh now." He said with a chuckle. His form was relaxed, in control... total control. This was his comfort zone.

"Know nothing do I? Understand nothing? I understood what you could have done in days long past, that would have prevented this entire scenario. Why do you think I worked with you? So invested in the politics of the Empire, you could have taken over at any time you wished with few to oppose you. Do not blame my obvious poison for the fall of the Empire, you could have been the antidote, before you became poison yourself." He shook his head like a disappointed parent.

"I know Kaine, that I have made a pawn of you already. I just felt like rubbing salt into the wounds exposed upon by the chains that hold you now, sow within you the gravity of the Empire you alone let die. I recognize my part in this, but you know that my poison was not one that would kill the subject, until removed. I had nearly dissipated when Ashin had thrown me down in her recognized superiority, but is it not in the nature of sith to conqueror a greater foe? I need not be the one to kill her, but she will die, and I will be there to see it. Why I believe you to be already within my grasp is firstly because of my enormous appetite." A devilish smirk filled his large face.

"Have you any idea how long it has been since I have eaten? Surely you have heard the stories, you witnessed my maw within the confines of the Dark Council Chambers. Have you forgotten the 11 slayed? I did more than kill them Kaine, and even your minds immunity to influence, your soul is exposed to my serrated teeth. Of course, death is a little threat to you (though it would not end there). The more defining reason why you shall stoop your head to my bidding Kaine, is because I know you shall do it anyway." He smiled knowingly.

"Again with this talk of submitting. I think death has unhinged you, Voracitos. Your delusions of grandeur do not amuse nor impress me, neither does your so called superiority. You have no power here, nor will you ever will again. You lost your chance for true power when you allowed a tool like Ardik to even get close enough to murdering you. I had thought the Shadow Emperor to be more cunning than that, but your tale ended the same as your reign as Emperor. Disappointingly. I told you once, and I will tell you again, Voracitos. Begone from this place, and find another person to bore. I'm sure you can find some weak-willed brat to do your bidding for you, but then again you were never really that intimidating anyways, so if I were you I would look for someone that wasn't a Sith. Now leave." And that was all Kaine said to Voracitos, for his attention was suddenly diverted elsewhere as he felt the faint glimmer of something disturbingly familiar... a dark presence of something sinister far away.

"You have already submitted. It is clear to me now. Be warned, I will not remain dead for long. We will see one another in the flesh once more. It is prophesy." He nodded and the mist consumed him, leaving Kaine to his chains and rescuers. He sensed something in him, from the future. He sensed an Order, he sensed his utter obedience to it. He found his tool in Kaine this day, his leverage to which he would pawn him to his schemes. He noted how civilly Kaine had asked him to leave, how... distracted. It would be soon then. He would leave him to it.
