Drunken Fu?

Andrai sat at the bar of the cantina, left leg crossed over her right while she downed another mind eraser from it's glass. The lids of her eyes closing tightly as the features of her face scrunched from the distaste of it. In truth the only reason she drank it was to do what the drink itself was called. Why'd it have to taste so bad, though? This was the third one and she was less than adamant about a fourth. Perhaps a different type of drink? Who knew.

A cloak covered the hourglass curves of her form and black corset matched to her black leggings and leather boots as she the pirate didn't want to gain too much attention. The hood, however, was down and exposed her pale green hues while contrasted with her pale skin and dark brown hair.

Foot bobbing slightly as it hung in the air in time with the music. The tips of her slender digits running over the top of the glass while trying to figure out what her next move might be.

Zatos walked through the doors of the cantina feeling his way along with his staff, beside him were two silver Jedi guards escorting the temporarily blind monk. "I'll take it from here, I'll call for you when I'm ready" Zatos said to the guards dismissing them. Zatos stood about six foot, along with having his head shaved clean he wore traditional gear from the temple of Kyber.

He took a deep breath, feeling the utter sense of helplessness and grief wash over him. The blind monk then began feeling his way through the cantina with his staff. Making his way towards the bartender, he walks directly into Andrai. "Sorry about that" Zatos said instinctively

Andrai admittedly hadn't paid all that much attention to what was going on around her for once. Perhaps it was the booze, perhaps it was the exhaustion. Either way she seemed lost within her own little world.

At least until she'd felt someone walk right into her, swiveling around on her stool with her left hand moving instinctively to the dagger that was strapped to her leg. Being caught off guard wasn't something she was used to and being wanted in a few places it was less than easy to not haul off and whip her blade out.

The woman was able to stop herself, though, seeing the man apologize and in monk's garb. Surely he wasn't a danger-at least not the type she was worried about at the moment. The grip on the handle of her blade loosening. "No, it's fine. Do you need help? You're close to a seat but I'd rather not see you fall or something."

It wasn't something she normally offered but the guy actually apologized rather than trying to hit on her or put a gun to her back and truth be told she felt a little bad for almost pulling a blade on him.

Zatos had been unfrozen a few days prior, still a bit disoriented he felt around and guided himself into a stool to sit down. "I apologize again for bumping into you miss...." Just then he began to slowly regain his vision as his super soldier cells kicked into overdrive, blurry at first he squinted his eyes a bit looking at the woman.

His heart dropped "Si'ara?" Zatos said blinking and rubbing his eyes trying to get his vision a bit more clear. Inspecting the girl with more clear eyes he could tell very quickly this was not his wife. "Sorry! Thought you were someone else! As you can tell my eyes aren't working so well right now!" Zatos chuckles nervously.

She shook her head while her pale green hues watched him silently, holding an arm out just in case, though his movements seemed to be growing more steady and confident. It was then he called her by another name.

Taken a bit back by that and not quite sure how to respond she sat there, cheeks flushed a soft rose while blushing and she shook her head, bringing a hand up as if to silence his apologies and steady his nerves.

"Really it's alright. Please, calm yourself and sit down before you hurt yourself. I'm Andrai. And you are clearly in need of a drink- do monks drink?"

A dark slender brow perked at that in curiosity as she watched him, more than a little confused about what the man had gone through but knowing her past as such a marbled one she wasn't exactly one to pry. Instead the pirate looked toward the tender and brought a finger up.

"Whatever he drinks is on me, thanks."

After making the order she'd look toward the monk who still squinted, "Go ahead and order something. It doesn't matter the kind."

Zatos looks at the woman then at the bartender contemplating. "We don't...... I'll take a correlian whiskey" he said motioning to the bartender putting his staff on his back. He surveyed there surroundings a bit, things around him just looked......different. "My name is Zatos" He introduced himself to Andrai.

His drink then arrived, popping the cap off the bottle Zatos began to take a big swig just trying to let his mind wander. The scent of death sticks filled his nose from the cantina patrons around them, he looked around as he fought back the urge to go back to his old habit. "you got a smoke?" Zatos asked the woman.

The corners of her full lips curled up into a grin as she heard his words and then his order. Her head tilting while her attentions settled fully on him. "I don't mind buying you a drink but I'm not going to be the one to get you hooked on all manner of bad things... I doubt that would shine well on my already strugglin' soul, handsome."

A soft laugh would pass into the air between them while bringing the glass up to her lips and took a drink. The lids of her eyes closing a moment as she let the strong alcohol fill her senses. Wincing as she brought it down to the bartop empty.

"Phew... I just may have one myself, though..."

Zatos chuckled, the woman put him a bit at ease. She even acted a lot like his wife, it was uncanny the similarity. "Handsome? I don't know if you know this but a lot of people have this face" He pointed to his face then took another big swig.

There was a moment of silence, it felt like forever for him at this moment. "I actually used to think of myself being really special.....retaining Jango's memory's and all, but as the years go on i come to realize how much im not so much different then any of the other clones...." Zatos went on as the alcohol must be making him talk.

"I'm rambling.....wouldn't have guessed myself a lightweight" He chuckled "whats your name gorgeous? and more importantly why are you being so nice to me? you must want something" Zatos was quick to change direction of the conversation.

Andy's eyes sparkled a bit at his chuckle. It was nice to hear him relaxing a little bit more rather than stuttering over his own words. "It's not the face that makes someone attractive but their personality... If the looks match then it's just a bonus. Others may have your face, Zatos. But not your personality."

Her gaze shifted to let her eyes match with his. The tip of a slender digit dancing around the edge of the glass while waiting for a refill. She'd pay attention to his features as he spoke, it was obvious he hadn't always been a monk and to bring up Jango her eyes widened. He couldn't mean Fett... The man, even now, was a legend.

"You and I both are lightweights when it comes to this stuff... Though I doubt yours is as strong as mine.-" Andrai had been about to say something more before he asked her name. It brought a chuckle of her own into the air. "Andrai. What I want at the moment is just some company. It's not very often you see a monk in a bar drinking and asking for death sticks, after all."

Zatos chuckled a bit as his face turned a bit red "i suppose you don't see monks very often at all in this place" he looked at the bottle of whiskey disappointed in himself, waiting a moment then taking a big swig and slamming the bottle back on the table.

"i don't think my company is worth a drink, but what i can do for you is give you some information about myself. you do look like a awfully curious one." Zatos said, moments after a load growl came from his stomach. "they haven't eaten much lately..... if its not to much to ask do you think i could get something to eat? i don't have any money but i have a lot of knowlege" Zatos chuckled

Andrai would smirk a little as the clone's face turned red, unable to help the amusement of making such a thing happen show. "It's true. In fact, the only time I've seen a monk in a place like here other than to scold the sinners to see the error of their ways was... Well, now. You must be going through a hell of a time, Zatos."

She'd heard his stomach growl and before he really had a chance to ask she'd look toward the tender, "Whatever my friend, here, would like. Food or drink is on me." Her attentions would shift to settle on the man once more, raising a slender brow and tilting her head. "Don't worry about repaying me. You are obviously in a harder spot than I am at the moment and that's... That's a hole I like to see noone in. Tell me what you like, though I will warn you I may have to run at some point unexpectedly. If that is the case I apologize in advance and will leave what I can for you- I don't think I'm wanted here, though, so we should be good."

Zatos ordered food then waited a few moments before speaking again "you couldn't imagine" he took another big swig off his whiskey. "so your wanted huh? well let me give you some advice, take it from someone who has been hiding from pretty much everyone my whole life" Zatos paused as his food arrived, he look a big bite.

"this isn't a good place to hide, trust me a cantina is the first place they look" he chuckled a bit tipsy now "I wasn't always a monk you know....." he leaned his arm against the bar. "I was the first clone...... what a big mistake that was" Zatos swigged his whiskey. "When i came threw they realized they made a mistake..... i killed them all. Blew up the entire facility, made a big mess for the Kamanoians" Zatos grabbed a roll from his plate and takes a bite.

"I thought i was Jango Fett, damn kamanoians gave me his memories, weather it was on purpose or on accident..... it was a mistake. I went on for years thinking i was Jango it wasn't until the real Jango died when i realized i was just a clone" Zatos struggled to talk about this but the booze was helping "After that i just did what i knew best, Bounty Hunting"

Andy had been about to say she knew this wasn't a good place to hide but in a way it was- She knew she could pretty much stay under the radar here as long as she behaved and doubted there'd be anyone here looking for her, thus this was the perfect place to hide. Out in the open... She was going to say all this, that is, until Zatos began to talk. Able to tell he wasn't to be considered sober she let him talk, listening to his story. Obviously the man had a lot on his mind and perhaps an ear would help a little.

Pale green orbs widened a little when he'd mentioned Jango and his death which was quite a long time ago... This monk was old but looked nothing like the age he should be. And his eye sight seemed to be improving along with his appetite.

"I'm sorry you've been through so much... But there is no such thing as 'just a clone'. I realize why that thought is there but I believe clones have thoughts and feelings of their own, you may have his memories but you've also created your own that have helped change you from Jango, as you started, to Zatos. Who you are."

Andrai would fall quiet after a moment. She wasn't good at conversations like this and truth be told she wasn't used to having deep, meaningful conversations with anyone. Especially a man. It was usually a romp for one reason or another and then a parting of ways. But never really getting to know one another or the least bit about each other.

"Bounty hunting is far from monkhood..."

Zatos nodded "yup i was a bounty hunter for some years, well i considered myself more a clone hunter..... i wanted to be the only clone, so id often take out republic clone squadrons for Hutt's and Crimelords. I killed thousands of my brothers..... " he choked a bit on his words. Taking a sip from his whiskey and clearing his throat. "But that all changed when i met my wife Si'ara, she was being sold to the Hutt that i was working for at the time by her own master. I saved her and after that we fell in love.......for a while"

Zatos paused and ate some of his food before continuing "we had a son together, but after a while we couldn't stand each other. I left them........ when i came back i was tricked into believing they were dead. Thats when i gave up my ways and joined the temple of kyber"
Zatos yawned "sorry my story is pretty boring, ill stop if you are not interested"

Andy's eyes seemed to widen at his tales and she'd quickly shake her head in response, a hand coming out to rest it's slender digits onto his arm.

"It's not boring in the least... Quite the opposite. How did you find out they weren't dead?"

She'd tilt her head slightly and it was clear by the expression etched across her face that she wanted to hear all she could. What a way to meet someone.

"At least you know what love feels like... I've never felt such a thing. As a matter of fact my conversation with you is probably the longest I've had when it comes to any sort of talk that doesn't revolve around money or sex with or from me."

Her comment would be followed with a soft laugh as her hand left his and came back to her own glass, tilting it back to take another drink, finishing it off and letting out a slight gasp. This alcohol wasn't getting any easier to down yet. Was she just not getting drunk? The tingling in her fingers clued her in that she was but other than that the fuzziness within her mind and the flushing of her cheeks went unnoticed.

"My story isn't anywhere near as exciting. I don't remember much other than pirating. I've never really been close with anyone."

"well it's funny you ask, she actually saved me" Zatos chuckles thinking back. "I finally got captured by the empire....her and a crew a used to run with saved me" He swigs the whiskey, the bottle now past the label. "well i still have most of my morals as a monk so you wont have to worry about me trying to get sex from you" Zatos continued eating his food

"i find it hard to believe you have never been close to anyone, no parents, family, friends? hell even a running buddy or crew mates count" Zatos was trying to understand why the girl had been so distant with people her whole life. Zatos reached into his robes and pulled out a talisman.

"here hold this in your hand and then ill be able to tell if your lying" Zatos said holding it out to her, this talisman was no more the a wood carving of a small wolf. It had no magic powers or connection to the force, it was just something Zatos would do to encourage people to be truthful. it was a old monks trick

Andrai would laugh as she brought a hand up, fairly drunk at this point. "Believe me, Zatos. I'm not interested in trying to seduce a monk. I do have some standards. I've a crew and all come and go. There's never really been a steady hand that was worth putting my full trust in. Family and friends are not a luxury I am allowed."

She'd blink as he pulled out a talisman, raising a slender brow before she held her hand out. "There's never a point in lying. The truth always comes out one way or another. Ask your questions, monk. I-" She'd pause to hiccup. "-Am not afraid."

Eyes sparkled a bit from the hiccup in the middle of her sentence while she grinned a bit and waited for him to start 'testing' her.
