Description:
The Gorgon is a cutting-edge lifeform scanner and facial recognition system, capable of operating twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, or whatever solar calendar your planet goes by. Rather than being a run-of-the-mill security camera, it is capable of detecting the existence of a life form, even if that life form is utilizing a standard cloaking device, stealth field, or sound dampeners.
The scanners themselves are quite bulky and are intended to be placed in warehouses and other large government, military and corporate facilities in need of security.
The system automatically runs all lifeforms through facial recognition software. Beings utilizing cloaking devices are incapable of being processed for obvious reasons. The facial recognition software draws from a number of interplanetary law enforcement databases, which Darkwater Security has access to. The Gorgon cross-references the facial recognition with active BOLOs and accessible criminal records. If any matches are found it trips an alert connected to the installation's normal security systems.
Darkwater is compiling the databases into one intergalactic megadatabase known as "Panopticon." Those who purchase the Gorgon for their installations can also pay a monthly fee to subscribe to the Panopticon.
