Duarte After leaving his home world to explore the greater Galaxy, like many of his species often did, Duarte was introduced to the varied species it held. His own world being so secluded he had never even seen stills of most of the creatures and species that called the Galaxy home. He is very impressed with the comparative longevity of his own species as well as its greater strength and constitution and wouldn't trade it for anything in the Galaxy which he believes to be second only to Wookies in those areas.
ATTRIBUTES:
Duarte is abnormally strong for a member of his species, due mostly to having led the Mandalorian lifestyle for the past fifteen years, this has led him being somewhat more massive than average, just outside normal ranges, of his species as well as heavier as he has a considerable amount of natural muscle mass.
Duarte is a Proficient warrior, more than capable of holding his own against opponents in the fields of blaster combat, melee combat, as well as being able to perform adequately in an interstellar dog-fight.
PERSONALITY:
Duarte is like most others of his species in that he is incredibly driven, often stopping at nothing to achieve his goals. He is also highly motivated by wealth so if there is good money to be made he is usually up for the job.
BIOGRAPHY:
Duarte was born into a massive extended family, with more than a hundred brothers , sisters and cousins all living in close proximity. The family moderately was successful at operating a tech repair business, mostly due to all the free labor.
Though Duarte’s childhood and young adulthood was filled with work at family business, where he would learn skills he would always be thankful for. Duarte excelled at following schematics and then fabricating what was necessary to complete the repairs. The rest of his childhood was filled with normal children’s pursuits.
When he turned sixteen he left home , he hired himself out on the next ship that was headed off-world as a mechanic.
Within a year he came across the Mandalorian Home world. It was here that Duarte found his calling, the lifestyle was uniquely advanced, yet simple. It reminded him of his own home world.
It didn't take long for Duarte to assimilate into the life style, his childhood put him slightly behind in the ways of warfare. That was easily overcome by simply making himself work harder. Though he was still a long way from perfection, Duarte became confident, and powerful, taking quickly to the Mandalorian lifestyle.
He immediately set his sights on joining the Maxis Clan, their reputation, specialties in espionage and stealth, as well as their superior guerrilla tactics giving them a far greater appeal to him.
Duarte is a natural swordsman and will fight with twin Beskads or sword and pistol his size and ambidexterity make him a particularly brutal close quarters fighter. He proudly wears his blue and green armor and lives their meaning. His armor is further emblazoned with the Teal and Gold Maxis clan sigil on both front and rear.
He earned his adulthood and clan tattoo as well as his first ship all in the same adventure by tracking down a pirate with a kill order on his head, an appendage which Duarte removed for him.
Duarte upon completing his final test waited for a response from the Rally Master, of the Maxis Clan to perform any duty a full-fledged, accepted member of the Maxis Clan was expected to do.
Duarte is now serving under the name Maxis and is always ready for clan work, regardless of where it is or even what it is. Since earning his carrier and command Duarte has loaded the carrier with dedicated repair droids to handle the maintenance not only of the carrier but of his auxiliary ships as well.
