So I got the idea of doing something different for duels. Have a old fashioned gun fight tournament. 16 people or so enter the tournament. The last man/woman standing is the winner! I know this needs elaboration but who is interested?
The duels would be decided by first blood (I can also make one where last alive wins).
EX:
Torch vs. [member="Switch"]
Both of us stand on opposite sides of a street (lengthwise)
A crowd will be included (other duelers and those who want to 'watch')
A gun will sound and the duel begins, first blood is the winner.
It's like any old fashioned western gun duel.
I figure it's different from a regular fight, most duels would likely end after the shot, since both parties are squared off in preparation of the starting gun. How would we, not as characters, but as the writers behind the characters, decide how that first, simultaneous shot played out. Maybe I'm missing something.
I see what you mean. That depends.....I haven't thought that out
Maybe the first to post gets the shot that wins.
EX:
I post that i shot you at 9:00 and you post at 8:59
you win
This can be easily handled by using D6's. Or a simple PbP system. I've made several for game mechanics in PbP's on RPGnet and homebrew Mythweavers stuff. I personally love the idea of a dueling club. Kind of like the fighting pits of Hutt worlds, just blasters instead.
