Experienced, proud and hawkish. Chaussidier is a man defined by his potent tactical and strategical mind. He carries himself with tremendous gravitas and speaks with clarity. His loyalty does not belong to a single person or entity, but rather to his values and principles.. N A M E | Durant Chaussidier |

"Admiral Durant Chaussidier of the 4th Recon Fleet. Born in Iziz, Onderon. I grew up in the shadows of heavy anti-air guns. Always wondered what they would look and sound like in action. Suffice to say: Now I know- Chaussidier introducing himself to a batch of new cadets
Born in a household of five, Durant Chaussidier was the oldest of the three siblings. Both of their parents worked as teachers and despite trying to be parents first and not teachers, it was inevitable that they would try to give their children the best possible foundation upon which to start their lives. Joining the Navy was never something which was a given, for the young Durant. For a long time, he wanted to become a lawyer and live a calm and peaceful life. Still, with many of his friends taking the more adventurous path and his fondness of travelling the stars, Durant Chaussidier eventually enlisted.
Slowly but steadily, Chaussidier rose in the ranks. He was never in much of a rush to advance his career and was more concerned with performing his duties to perfection. Even then, few would call him conventional as the Onderonian seemed to have a preference of launching bold boarding operations and making active use of the marines under his command. While risky, these tactics and accompanying innovation often bore him success and suited his rather hawkish beliefs well.
After having served with the Commenor-bound Reserve Fleet for a lengthy period of time, Chaussidier has finally taken the step back into the fray, ready to make the most out of his final few active years before retirement. -

Traces of the handsome features of his youth could still be seen in his strong jaw and high cheekbones. Something which age had yet to take away was the vitality with which Chaussidier carried himself and the good posture he maintained.
With intelligent greyish eyes and well-kept hair, it was only natural for the Admiral to also keep his uniform neat and tidy. -

+Experience - Chaussidier has served in navies for a long time and in many different positions. Throughout the years, he has accumulated plenty of experience to draw from.
+Unconventional - Throughout the years, Chaussidier had gained the reputation of being an unconventional commander. At times, this could make him a challenging foe who could be hard to predict.
+Presence - Chaussidier has a commanding presence when he enters a bridge and can put most Officer's on their toes with his usually high expectations. The gravitas with which he carries himself ensures that whatever new positions he assumes are soon being run with peak efficiency.
-New Technology - While the Admiral enjoys utilising new technology, he does not always fully understand the full extent of what is available to him. This is a particularly dangerous flaw when new technology is employed by the enemy.
-Unapproachable - The commanding presence of Chaussidier can backfire as it can make him less approachable. While these issues often get resolved with time, it is something which can reduce the speed at which he receives certain information.
-Old - Chaussidier is old and will do well to remember that he is no longer suited to personally participate in combat.
~Laissez-Fair Commander - While a strong organisation is important, Chaussidier often prefers giving more rough directives to those who serves under his command and usually entrusts them with a high degree of operational freedom. This can sometimes result in great victories as the capacities of his subordinates may be realised fully but it can also backfire when a more hands-on approach could have yielded better results and in the worst case, allowed them to avoid disaster. -

Work in progress. In short, Chaussidier owns a bunch of stuff, an apartment in Iziz and probably somewhere else too. A personal ship and a fast speeder. Maybe a few hunting rifles. Not a single piece of art but large investments in stocks.
Recently, he has become a majority shareholder in Phaseera Manufacturing as well as Firaxan Industries along with its subsidiary Interstellar Manufacturers of Pantora. He views these acquisitions as investments and tends to avoid directly involving himself with their daily affairs. -

When commanding the 4th Recon Fleet, Chaussidier tends to work with numerous high intensity operations running simultaneously to apply high pressure across the board. His flexible and adaptable style and reliance on individual Captains to make calls on their own accord within the loose frames which he tends to provide allows for a more concentrated and hands-on approach to the vessel or smaller battle group which he personally leads.
With a focus on employing expensive and technologically advanced ships, it is clear that the Admiral prefers to work with quality rather than quantity. In a similar fashion, as can be expected, his reconnaissance operations also tends to rely on technology to conduct missions covertly and with a high pace.
What makes Chaussidier's approach more unconventional is his high reliance on highly specialised and well-trained marines to conduct operations beyond the strict frames of the navy. -
