Duty, Honor, and the right size boots

Location: Office of the Minister of Intelligence

Faith looked at her calendar for the day she had a few meetings and a debriefing today. She wondered at the name the appeared first today @A’ryn Khal She did not recognize the name she shook her head trying to recall should she know this name.

Rising up from her desk leaving the calendar behind Faith arranged the tea cups once more as she thought.

Faith had many things on her mind lately, her body guard [member="Marev Priest"] was away and she needed a body guard, and since her mother was determined to live in Aldera City the Alderaan Guard would need to be reformed.

Both tasks were a priority along with her duties as the Senator of Alderaan, and Minister of Intelligence.

She never believed she would be here now, she really wished she had her boots today.

The halls of the Intelligence Ministry building were complex, narrow, and wound around in a manner that to someone who was not familiar with the purpose of the design, would think was random. Around every corner, a surveillance droid stood surveying the surroundings. Analyzing data, and surely checking for potential threats and breaches. The lights above shined brightly, to some this was ominous. To A'ryn, this was comfort and security in a realm where comfort and security was a luxury rather than assured.

A'ryn briskly walked through halls, fully knowing his next destination. He was to meet with the much celebrated Princess of Alderaan, and Minister of Intelligence. She was both savvy in politics, and understood the deep machinations and secrets only provided from her experience as the Head of the branch.

As per usual, he was wearing his trusty black overcoat, white under shirt, black slacks, and a tie. A'ryn approached the door into the office, brushing his clothes off of imaginary dust before nodding to the guards stationed outside of the door.

The guards eyed him suspiciously unaware of the newcomer. A'ryn smiled and drawled "A'ryn Khal here for my meeting with the Princess, or rather should I say the Minister in this setting?" The guards both nodded, as he was swiftly brushed into the room.

Faith was standing when the inner door to her office opened announcing her meeting, she turned the dress she wore today turned with her. It like many pieces that Faith wore was flowing and fitted.

“Morning @A'ryn Khal come in sit down. Can we offer you a refreshment?” Water, stimcaf, Tea she thought they had other things but those were the top three for anything.

Yep.

Faith remembered to smile as she slid into her chair, “So, how can I help you this morning?” She had not looked at the notes, sometimes they were helpful, sometimes they were not. Faith's mornings were at times quite busy, meetings, briefings, and calls to others trying to win them over to her way of thinking. It was more negotiation than politics.

But something told her that A'ryn was not here about a bill before the Senate, no the look of intent was firmly fixed on his features.
