Bad Kitty
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
The Dwomutsiqsa, or Smoke Demon, cloak was a piece of stealth technology devised by aspiring Sith alchemist Micah tol Powl while a student at the Korriban Academy. Already having been recruited to the Tsis-Kaar by Darth Malum of House Marr , the Smoke Demon cloak borrowed from concepts that the Cathar had been exposed to while salvaging parts of the Sith and Alliance fleets over Sluis Van, in which he'd discovered wreckage of a vessel that had used bio-computers and organoform circuitry.
The device was produced by the Sith Order, under the label of Snark Industries as one of the cat's inventions. It consisted of a Stygium crystal matrix connected to a network of alchemized organoform circuitry. The device was powerful enough to mask a small vessel from both visual and sensor-based detection, however, it still held a number of drawbacks -- likely owing to the inexperience of the creator. The most notable was that the device was unable to cloak an object larger than 100 meters. In addition, strong gravity fields rendered the cloak inoperable. As a consequence of its reliance on the Dark Side, it would also glitch out or fail in areas where the Force was disrupted or absent. Finally, the piece was complex as to require a Sith alchemist to repair.
As the circuitry was organic and altered by Sith Magic, the device could be an example of Sithspawn technology.
STRENGTHS
- The Unseen. When active, the cloaking device rendered an equipped vessel invisible to both visual and sensor-based detection.
- Hard To See The Dark Side Is. Force Sensitives were often vaguely aware of an unsettling presence nearby, but may find identifying the source difficult or clouded.
- The Unseen. No one is going to get out of the way, so you better be paying attention if you want to avoid a collision.
- Size Restriction. Maximum vessel size of 100 meters.
- Strong Gravity Fields. The cloaking device is unable to function in areas of strong gravity, such as interdiction fields, close proximity to a star, or black hole.
- Difficult to Repair. Requires a Sith alchemist to work on the cloaking device.
- Sithspawn Technology. The cloaking device is vulnerable to damage or destruction by Force Light. It also will not function in areas where the Force is not present (null
