After the Battle of Eshan, Voph remained within CIS space, and sought to consolidate his forces under a single banner. No longer seeking to champion a wide-reaching force, Voph instead turned his focus to a single target: The marauders responsible for the devastation on Eshan. Voph surrendered control of his forces to the Confederacy, and took a temporary position as Fleet Marshal as he prepared his small navy to become a fearsome xeno-hunting task force.
The DX-53 Monarch is a new ship, introduced with what the soldiers of the Octarchy referred to as "Wave II." The gunship is designed to provide heavy fire support for fighters at close range, but can also function at reduced effectiveness in the atmosphere. Going the opposite route of Voph's usual M.O., the Monarch features a smaller than average squadron count, permitting Voph to create a better ship with fewer drawbacks.
