So apparently this is a thing. Also, I've just found out that Harrison Ford had a cameo in a deleted scene only available on the Laserdisc version of E.T. (Not as Han Solo, though.)
Having the E.T. species exist in the Star Wars universe actually kinda makes sense. It would explain how E.T. can make stuff levitate, as well as the Halloween scene where he sees someone dressed as Yoda and goes "Home?"
He's a Jedi. Mind blown.
