DESCRIPTION
The Escort-Class Space Superiority Fighter was developed by FrieTec Inc as a potential answer to Incom and Republic Engineering's SS01 model X-Wing starfighter in use by the Galactic Alliance. When it became known that the Alliance would be looking for new contracts in the years following the Second Great Hyperspace War to refresh their aging vessels FreiTec began working on a solution. Searching through old logs they found a starfighter that once threatened to take the place of the iconic starfighter frame and moved from there.
