SPECIAL FEATURES
- Alloy composed of Duranium, Durasteel, Alusteel and an Impervium coat give the plates of this armor very high resistances against physical and energy based attacks.
- Alloy is placed on a Phrik-A lattice to increase it's rigidity and resistances against anti-vehicle based weapons, making the overall plates much more sturdy and light than standard armor.
- Highly rigid armor plating: This armor is very physically strong, chemically stable, and able to absorb a lot of thermal and other forms of energy. This gives it a great basis for generalized protection against most standard anti-vehicle weapons utilized in the field today.
- Rigidity is its undoing: This armor is imperfect as while it's great at stopping active threats such as enemy weapons fire, it does poorly for environmental protections. If you need a seal to protect against a harsh atmosphere (or total lack thereof), against bio-weapons, or even just sonic based weapons, this armor will not protect you. This is because this armor has no give what so ever, making it a poor choice to utilize for these aspects of walker construction.
- The Force: You win this time space wizards. This time.
Developed in anticipation of a new weapons project, the Eagle class medium armor is meant to be an much increased upgrade over its many predecessors in vehicular armor plating. Where before on vehicle projects, Freebirds Industries opted to go with a spaced armor design, for this project it was determined they would need to save as much space as possible. This meant creating a new style of armor plating to combat the many threats the vehicle would face. And thus the Eagle class armor was born. With increased resistances thanks to the incorporation of new alloys and even new materials technology in FI, the Eagle class is intended to set a new gold standard in vehicle armor protection. This will make armors offer more protection at the same relative weight, by increasing their rigidity and thermal resistances. Welcome to the future of walker armor technology.
