- Heaters, and coolers within the casing ensure that the temperature is always appropriate for the type of fluid it is synthesizing.
- The capsule does not need to be full in-order for the fluid within to be extracted, and given to a patient, and can be opened at any point in the process.

STRENGTHS
- Effective: Able to begin the process of synthesizing blood and plasma from a small genetic sample, such as hair, blood, or skin, and in the case of anti-toxins, a small sample of the poison it is combating, the EBS-50 Medical Synthesizer gets to work quickly, and with very little requirements for it to begin. Making it easy to use, even for those not medically adept.
- Diverse: Not limited to humans, the EBS-50 can create the fluids needed to sustain well over a hundred different sentient species. Along with thousands of different anti-toxins for known poisons. Allowing it to be used in large swaths of the galaxy, without the need for modification.
- Open Source: In the event that the EBS-50 is required for a species, or task that it is not designed for. It has been designed with programmers in mind, allowing people with some amount of effort to reconfigure its functions in-order for it to create other kinds of fluids as well.
- Efficient: Utilizing basic organic materials to convert into the fluids needed, the EBS-50 is renowned for its efficiency, using only the most minimum amount of protein required for each batch of blood or plasma. Ensuring multiple uses before a refill is needed.
WEAKNESSES
- Large: To be able to create the large amounts of blood required for a patient, the physical size of the EBS-50 is quite inconvenient for a private citizen. And though portable, it would be quite heavy, and cumbersome to carry. It is thus best suited for personal starships, homes, medcenters, and other such facilities. It can still be useful for paramedics, or other specialized personnel however.
- Time Consuming: The complex process that is required to synthesize blood means that the EBS-50 does require some amount of time to finish. Typically a half-hour to fill the 2 litre capsule within it. Although this would be fine for a safe environment, such as a medcenter, or some other medical facility, it would be somewhat dangerous for an individual, or warzone.
The NKH-EBS-50 Life Sustainment Device, otherwise known as the EBS-50, or the Medical Synthesizer, is an advanced medical tool developed by Nakaioma Medical. Designed to convert proteins taken from organic materials into blood, plasma, and anti-toxins, it is used in medcenters across the galaxy, and has more recently begun picking up an interest among private citizens. Capable of creating any blood type for most sentient species in civilized space, based on a genetic sample from the patient who requires it, the EBS-50 can be purchased from the Nakaioma Medical store on the HoloNet, or via specialized retailers. Not especially portable, but capable of creating large amounts of blood in a relatively short period of time, it is best suited for stationary use in either permanent, or temporary medical facilities, or private properties.
