- [SIZE=9pt]Combat Shield: Unlike other R-99 Vanguard droids, these ones have a full body Combat Shield, an upgrade seen to by WD itself. [/SIZE]
- [SIZE=9pt]Unquestionable Loyalty: Their training was overseen by WD, and were picked personally. They are picked after fighting to the death with other R-99's, and follow WD without question.[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=9pt]Power Pack: If the power pack is hit, this could cause a major malfunction of shutdown to the droid's systems, as well as perhaps create an EMP explosion to nearby unprotected droids. [/SIZE]
- [SIZE=9pt]Small Arms: With the attached duranium shield, these droids can only use small arms weapons, nothing that is to be handled by two hands.[/SIZE]
- Description: Named after a type of personal shield, these R-99 Vanguard's were handpicked by WD to serve as a personal infantry, used as bodyguards in combat missions, ten at the maximum. Their armor is given more of a personal touch, made darker with white markings to represent their service to WD-334. They are outfitted with a full-body Combat Shield rather than one only attached to their Duranium shield, and a power pack on their back to power the shield. To be picked by WD-334, they were first chosen out of serving R-99's, then put into arena fights to the death. Whichever one survived was made a bodyguard, the rest were repaired the best they could, then put back to the front-line. This is to show the unquestionable loyalty and skill, something WD searches for in these R-99 units.
