• Binocular Vision: Because of the micro-optics it has the ability to see things all the way down to the molecular level, allowing them to identify materials and better evaluate terrain and opponents.
• Combat Specialist: Built by an Echani company, this droid is designed for combat using the knowledge of those who built them as a basis for its fighting technique. In essence, these droids are made to be more durable and stronger than Echani while possessing all the combat knowledge of the best Echani warriors.
• Multiple Focii: This droid is designed to identify a long list of possible threats, primarily based on symbols and known armor systems, but also based on analysis of body language and spoken word. It's also capable of taking commands and is programmed to recognize the authority of leadership units it is deployed with.
• A Friendly Face: Despite the appearance of the droid, these particular units are programmed to react favorably towards children, interacting with them in play and singling them out for priority protection in combat situations.

• Strength Is Relative: Due to the construction of the musculature system, this droid is much stronger than most droids its size.
• I See You: The ability to see all the way to the molecular level allows the droid to pinpoint weak points in armor and carapace, as well as to determine strength levels of surrounding materials.
• Kinetic Shminetic: With the presser field in the shield, and the self-healing laminanium armor, this droid is built for physical confrontation in which it comes out on top.
• Energy? I’ll Energy You!: The use of laminanium armor coupled with phrik and echani graphite interior components protects the droid from sabers and blasters, as does the shielding. It also provides an average level of ionic resistance.

• Resistance is Futile: As per usual, the factors providing resistance to anything are not going to last forever. Prolonged or repeated strikes will wear down the resistance.
• I’m Melting!: As with most metals, those that make up the droid are susceptible to high strength acids.

Carrying on with tradition, it has become necessary to upgrade the EMBU program to its next phase, utilizing the technology created for Project Hardfiber and the newly accessed technology from the Directorate. Thus EIC has taken the knowledge it has gleaned from previous models of the droids, as well as it's Republic manufactured YVH-2 droids, to create a new age of EMBU that's not only more fluid than the original, but possesses greater strength, a faster and more reliable brain, but also greater durability than that which was possessed even by the original model of the droids. Project Hardfiber has created the model for droids yet to come out of EIC's technological minds, but this might be the greatest upgrade they will ever create.

Drawing on the knowledge of Echani fighting techniques and their long history of combat with various groups throughout the galaxy, these droids were programmed specifically to mimic the best techniques while allowing for situational adaptation. They will not be stuck in rigid combat programming as older models will. Though they maintain the standard armament, these particular units are also suited to grappling, possessing greater strength than the earlier models. Increased programming capacity has allowed for a greater database for friend or foe identification, and even allowed the development of new programming for interaction with the general populace. Of note is the interaction with children in which these particular droids are known to be rather playful among them and will prioritize their safety over that of adults.

General adaptation may make future programming more or less unnecessary as the brains in these units are as close to artificial intelligence as they come without being such. These EMBU units will continue to adapt to changing galactic situations and remain a viable fighting force for a long time.
