APPEARANCE:
Eddval has short blonde hair and striking blue eyes. His frame is toned and althletic in nature. Standing at six feet even, the blonde young man is average height. His attire depends on his activity. The basics are there, and much fur is used to help stay warm when needed. Armor is reserved for battle, and weapons to match. A dagger and throwing axe are always worn on his belt. The young man is ready for battle at all times.
BIOGRAPHY:
Eddval Ragnarson is the third born son of Christer and Ingrid Ragnarson. He was born on the new moon during a cold winter after much bloodshed and loss of life for the people of Reykjaa. This brought the emergence of Christer as the chieftain of the village, ushering in a time of prosperity and peace for his people.
Edd was raised in the winter castle, the main shelter for the village when the winters were brutal. This afforded him the best teachers the village had, and combat training. The boy was taught how to manage the economy of the village which majored in supplying mead to the planet of Midvinter. Their exports financed the upkeep of the castle and village. Eddval was entrusted with management of the docks by his thirteenth birthday, as every warrior also must work.
His thirteenth year brought tragedy as well, as Ingrid, his mother and a shieldmaiden, was killed in battle. Raiders from the north had come to steal mead, and she had been the first to respond. This tragedy made Eddval very superstitious and a strict adhearant to the religion of the Valkyri. The blonde teen transfered the control of the docks to his older brother Bröm, and dedicated his life as a defender of his village.
The warrior participated in many conflicts, and one in particular which saw Reykjaa expand into control over a neighboring village. Their economy had been the same, and Christer wanted control, so he took it. This increased the mead production, and brought land tax to the castle as well. Many of their poor became slaves of the chieftain in exchange of their debts. With the free labor, and increased land, mead production was at all time high, still Edvall remained with the warriors, though still enjoyed the life in the castle.
