SPECIAL FEATURES
- Plasma-Enhanced Blade: The blade's core is a similar to the design of a vibroblade, though the device contains an emitter field along the blade, mimicking the cutting power of a lightsaber, though with far fewer safety restrictions.
- Mandalorian Iron Alloy: The blade is reinforced with Mandalorian iron, making it highly durable and resistant to most forms of blaster fire, lightsaber strikes, and environmental stress.
- Customized Heat-Resistant Grip: The hilt is designed to resist heat, ensuring that Nova Ka can wield it comfortably in intense combat situations, though less augmented humanoids may have issue with it.
- Unmatched Cutting Power: The combined strength of the vibroblade and Songsteel allows the sword to easily cut through tank armor, making it a weapon capable of defeating even the most heavily armored foes.
- Superior Durability: Thanks to the Mandalorian iron and Songsteel, the sword can withstand extreme stress, energy weapon strikes, and environmental hazards, making it incredibly reliable in battle.
- Hot Iron: The use of Mandalorian Iron and Song Steel, allow for the power unit on the blade to super heat to a dangerous degree, allowing the weapon to mimic lightsaber-like feats.
- Energy Dependency: The vibroblade relies on a power core to maintain its vibration. If the core is damaged or drained, the blade becomes less effective.
- Heavy: This blade is heavy, difficult for those without proper augmentation to utilize.
- Reach: As a melee weapon, the vibrosword has limited range, putting Nova Ka at a disadvantage against enemies with ranged weaponry.
- Potential for Overuse: Given the immense cutting power of the sword, overuse against heavily armored targets could stress the blade over time, requiring maintenance. Attempting to cut through metals or constructs too thick, can overload the power device. The user can also burn themselves on the hilt of the blade, if it grows too hot.
As Nova began her mission to vanquish foes in the Unknown Regions, she crafted a single blade that she would use upon killing a foe. This blade, she would call, Edge of Oblivion. Taking materials from Lirka Ka's forge, she smelted the blade, customizing it to her unique anatomy. The blade is difficult for not augmented users to wear, and in fact dangerous to even use. Some would call Nova insane of using such an unstable, and dangerous weapon, but she finds the concept riveting to use such a creation in combat.
