Physical Strengths:​

• Cartilaginous skeleton: Edric's skeleton is not bone like most human and near-human species. Due to a genetic trait from his mother, the young man's bones are replaced with a skeleton made of cartilage. This single alteration to his body's structure allows for a greater range of mobility and a lighter body as compared to those whose bodies contain the heavier, more restrictive bone based skeleton.
• Deceptively small: Though Edric remains a rather small and light individual, that is not quite as reflective of his physical strength as it would for some others. A lot of his muscles are leaner, a trait he had picked up from his half echani father, though this is further hidden by the previously mentioned lighter skeleton as compared to even normal Echani who do not possess the same trait.

Mental Strengths:​

• Quick Mind: Edric had been chosen for his mental strengths rather than his physical ones when he had become the heir to kesh. The first of those is the speed at which he can read and retain information that is given to him, making it much easier for the young man to take over the empire which had been left behind by the former king. This quick mind of his is not necessary one that is that of a genius, and infact he is rather normal as compared to the great minds of the galaxy. Instead he is quick in that he can process the information and make decisions on the spot, just as quickly adapting those decisions should things change or the outcome is not to his liking.
• Kind Hearted: Edric is first and foremost kind and calm. Being the other primary reason for being chosen, the man is almost always calm and more times than not kind to almost all people. Even those who his predecessor would condemn, specifically slavers, are normally spared or even forgiven for their crimes. Being a former slave, Edric developed this kind and calm personality to mask the suffering he had been subject to and just as readily used it to forgive those who had even put him in that situation.

Physical Weaknesses:​

• Cartilaginous skeleton: As stated before, the bones that would normally be in a human or near-human are replaced with cartilage instead. This creates while a far more flexible and lighter body, one that is far more fragile. Breaking his bones is far easier for Edric as compared to others, and not by any small margin. This makes physical combat and any wave of energy that would have a concussive effect on his body to be far more dangerous for Edric.
• Partial Blindness: Unwilling to alter his eyesight, Edric suffers from being unable to read without some form of corrective eyewear. This creates a problem for him in situations where he is unable to acquire a pair of glasses or otherwise similar device that would aid him in his sight.

Mental Weaknesses:​

• Empathy: Edric's empathy is largely untrained, creating a very dangerous situation for him. His empathy works on taking select emotions from those around him on a mind to mind level, then multiplying the particular emotion two-fold before applying it back onto the target individual. Though, because of the largely untrained nature of his empathy, he is unable to separate his mind from those around him a great deal of the time and as such creates a mass flood of emotions into his own mind. This can create blackouts for Edric, who's mind must cope with these emotions on its own and without any training or aid, possibly crippling him if they grow too greatly.
