Due to his body parts that are part metal, being made out of Phrik he is quite resistant to lightsaber strikes and blaster bolts in those areas.

His cybernetics, plus the features that are given to him are certainly useful in many situations.

Since the armor boosts Edward's functions from electronics, a sudden voltage increase from an outside source can mess or malfunction his cybernetics.

He is only covered in Phrik armor/Nutorium plating from his head, to his chest and then to his left arm, everything else is human and can be damaged normally on those human parts.
DESCRIPTION
Edward's initial cyborg transformation did not go very well, he did get the performance he wanted but the metals he used for the first time were very questionable, and as a result crumbled easily. He crashed to a nearby planet in a shuttle to be recovered by Vitor, who found Edward's designs for his new and improved cyborg side and out of interest, helped Edward fulfill his design.
Now, Edward's designs have come to life and the metals that were implemented doesn't fail or crumble like the ones he used before.
