SPECIAL FEATURES
- Interchangeable Parts: Parts can be swapped out from any weapon of the ‘Enforcer’ line, making the EF-500 Pistol a highly dependable weapon.
- Mechanical Design: Due to its pure, streamlined mechanical design, the EF-500 rarely ever experiences complications or failures through use barring extreme physical damage to the weapon itself. This lack of electronic mechanisms render the weapon impervious to EMP or Ion damage.
- Firing Modes: The EF-500 is able to fire fully automatic, three round bursts, or single-shot semi-automatic.
STRENGTHS
- +Mechanical Design: (See special features)
- +Firing Modes: As noted above, the EF-500 possesses the same ability to toggle firing modes as the Enforcer-series rifle models, providing a higher level of utility as compared to standard sidearms.
- +Enlarged Magazine: While still not quite equal to blaster-based models in terms of ‘magazine size’, the EF-500 is configured to accept larger sized magazines to provide additional utility for its users, whether its intent is to be used for home defense, as a defensive sidearm while hunting in remote areas, or as a tactical weapon in combat zones.
- +Stopping Power: One major selling point of the EF-500 is its surprising stopping power, by virtue of its ‘slugthrower’ based design. Not only does it have the ability to literally belch out lead in short order, but each round packs a serious punch as well.
WEAKNESSES
- -Spartan: The EF-500 is a fairly baseline weapon platform, devoid of much by way of ‘advanced technology’. While this is considered a strength in many ways, one should understand this if in the market for a more specialized platform.
- -Munition Dependant: Although this might be an obvious drawback, it should still be noted that this weapon’s effectiveness is entirely dependent on the quantity and type of ammunition one has access to. While standing well on its own compared to blaster-based competitors, one advantage such platforms have over the EF-500 is that blaster technology is more efficient with its power cells to prevent ammunition from being a significant detriment.
- -Heavy: Compared to other weapons of its size, the EF-500 is quite heavy as opposed to its blaster-based rivals.
- -Jurisdictional: While most major jurisdictions don’t have an issue with the possession and wielding of an EF-500, the combination of its firepower, rate of fire, magazine size, and overall profile make it a very deadly weapon. Some ‘gun safety’ conscious jurisdictions may restrict the sale and ownership of the EF-500 more strictly than standard blaster/pistol weapons, so please check your local regulatory bodies before purchasing this weapon.
DESCRIPTION
Although the EF-500 is easily the smallest weapon within the Enforcer series, it is easily the most surprising with what it has to offer. Rate of fire, stopping power, magazine size, you get a little bit of everything the Enforcer series has to offer in one small, relatively compact package; making it the ideal choice for a home defense weapon or a sidearm for hunters and soldiers alike.
It is because of this near-perfect balance that the sale and possession of this firearm, while widely accepted in all major jurisdictions, is one of the few slugthrower based weapons bearing restrictions in a select few more restrictive regions. Even in such areas, this weapon finds popularity among those who decide to undergo lengthy licensing processes, as well as local law enforcement and planetary militia personnel.
