Archangel’s first experiment with stealth technology was the ‘Lightbringer’, a frigate designed for seizing and processing organics. However, there are times when a frigate simply will not do, mainly in situations where the size is problematic.
Therefore, a special fighter was developed to use a similar stygium array as well as a new alloy called Cryomium to make it stronger and lighter. The result was a two-seater elite fighter. Though heavily armed with laser and ion cannons and featuring powerful warhead launchers, the Eidolon is not designed for battlefield combat. Rather, its goal is to sneak in, hide, allow the two HRD pilots to complete their mission, then slip away. As such it works best as an infiltrator.
Also of note is that the craft is able to strip away many of the features that organic pilots require. The atmosphere inside the craft is kept normally to prevent damage to the organic exteriors of the pilots, but otherwise life support is minimal.
Design of this ship is a closely guarded secret, and as a unique one-off it is not available for commercial sale. Typically it is piloted by Moira and Maelion, but others in the Archangel inner circle like Callisto or Madeline can use it if required. Preservation of the craft though is a top priority, and so avoidance of battle is preferred to combat.

Intent: To create a stealth infiltrator for Archangel. This two-seater is extremely well suited for quick ambushes and infiltrations, but is quite fragile and valuable in combat. As always, the stealth does not allow instant kills for player characters.

Strengths:
- Ghostly. With full stealth systems and modified engines, the Eidolon is almost undetectable to all but the most specialised and advanced systems.
- Firepower. The Eidolon possesses heavy firepower for a ship its size and can outmatch almost all interceptors and fighters.
- Speedy. With the combination of Cryomium plating and mechanical pilots, the ship is light and agile enough to outdo all but the fastest interceptors and be able to escape if its stealth system should be compromised.
- Fragile. The Cryomium plating is durable, but the ship overall lacks heavy protection and strong shields. In a prolonged battle it can be overwhelmed if its cover is blown.
- Costly. Being unique and combining two types of rare material, the Eidolon is too precious to be used in mere combat. Thus the first instinct is to escape from combat rather than fight to the death.
- Battery Life. The Stygium array has limits. It cannot run constantly without burning out. The array cannot operate for more than six hours in a standard 24 hour day.
