Eilara was born on Mnemosyne, the only child of a somewhat successful merchant family. An unfortunate accident meant losing her parents when she was very young, leaving her in the care of her grandmother. A naturally quiet child, she kept to herself as much as she could, losing herself in books and other solitary pursuits as her peers played and mixed together. Eilara was born with a defect in her hip, leaving her unable to walk properly for the first few years of her life. Treatment came later, with surgery and cybernetic implants giving her some motor function back. However, she could sometimes still walk with an obvious limp or tilt, and it could cause pain on some occasions. Not wanting to draw attention to herself, Eilara continued to keep to herself, happily. All was fine.
Until she started getting older.
Eilara started to feel more awkward. More estranged. More alone. Everyone else seemed to get along fine, happy with their friends and their exciting lives. All whilst Eilara continued to float along, pulled between spacefaring and planet life, with the Galaxy moving on without her. She grew much more isolated and withdrew into herself. Throwing herself into studies and stories, she learned about great Galactic movements and the people who defined them. She read about people she would never be, on adventures she would never have, in a life she wouldn't lead.
Then came the discovery.
A chance meeting in the city found Eilara in front of a pair of Jedi. Jedi that noticed something in her. A few tests later and, somehow, against all odds, Eilara was Force Sensitive. They recommended that she be sent to train as a Jedi. With other people. With a bunch of other young Jedi, just like her, in a place she'd be with them. It was the greatest fear she'd ever known but the only opportunity she knew she'd ever have. So she pushed and needled and shoved until finally, her grandmother relented and allowed her to go off and train.

Eilara is a slender teenager of average height for her age. She is fair-skinned with cool, pale-blue eyes that shift between piercing stares and wide-open awkwardness. Usually in a shy half-smile, her lips are thin and there's little sign of dimples or laughter lines in her cheeks. Her hair is a slightly-frizzy dark brown. It is just unruly enough to give her semi-permanent bed head.
Eilara walks with a noticeable limp at times, the result of a defect from her youth.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Well-read: Eilara knows things. Things about ancient galactic legends hidden away in long-unread holobooks. Things about trade routes and prices, measures and amounts. Things about how starships work, or how stars are born and hyperdrives can start to work.
Good-natured: Eilara is generally good natured and wants the best for everyone. Though she may struggle to show it sometimes, she tends to put others before herself and enjoys when other people around her are happy.
Psychometric Talent: Eilara has a natural, latent talent towards psychometry. She has always been able to read moods and emotions from objects around her, though she's never really been certain of what that meant until she joined the Jedi. With some training, Eilara will be able to delve into different objects and pull anything in the Force that still clings to them.
Lack of Confidence: Eilara is a shy and withdrawn teenager. When provoked, she can lash out, but tends to pull backwards from unusual, new or overly-social situations.
Overthinking: You should just talk to those people. But what if you can't? What if you walk over there and just stare weirdly and can't get the words out? Then they think you're weird but like, more than weird, they think you're some creepy stalker and they call the planet security forces over you and then you can't answer them and Granny has to bail you out and you're like a stain on your family and your Dad diso... oh wait they're gone nevermind.
Mobility Problems: Eilara was born with a hip defect. Treatment, surgery and cybernetics has given her the ability to walk and move properly, though they haven't fixed the problem completely. She can move, probably even run, though she may struggle to keep up with others. In some circumstances, it can cause a lot of pain still.
