Election for Supreme Chancellor

With [member="Jack Sparrow"] retiring his character, I am calling for a new election for the position of Supreme Chancellor. Any member can certainly throw up their names for candidacy, including FU characters*, but for the next Chancellor, I'm really looking for someone to be at the forefront of major events moving forward.

So until about next Monday or Tuesday, I'll be taking nominations. This will not be the time to present platforms, I'll just be taking names. The staff and myself will review the nominated characters for viability, and to see if their writers are interested in running. (We're just checking to make sure you're not some troll or plant out of nowhere. IC qualifications or the lack thereof will not count against you.) The next phase will be approved candidates given the chance to present their platform and rally support over the course of a few days. By next weekend, I'd like to have a poll up, so that we may have a new Supreme Chancellor by August 15th. In the interim, I'll be acting Chancellor in an NPC capacity, so please bear with my reign of terror for the next couple weeks.

I haven't been active in the Republic since the days of Kiskla and Popo, with only a minor stint during the times of Corvus, but I strongly recommend you guys take a good long look at Popo as a possible candidate.

From all the candidates he might be your best choice, if you want to come out alive at the end of all of this.
