- Force Lightning Power Focus - The Electromancer’s Claws act as focuses for the wielder’s Force Lightning, supercharging the outputted electricity in addition to enhancing its accuracy, precision, and kinetic impact.
- Alter Environment (Electricity) - Enhances the wielder’s ability to absorb, redirect, and manipulate electricity, by making manifestations of this power more efficient.
- Soul Bound - The Electromancer’s Claws are bound and attuned to their wielder—First Sister. They follow her commands alone and will reject attempts by others—save for Darth Carnifex—to seize control of them.
- Mono-Molecular Tips - Treated with Svolten Rhyolite, the Claws’ tips are mono-molecular and can retain their integrity and cutting power even after undergoing impact with the blade of a lightsaber or with especially dense materials.
- Electricity Reactive - Due to its magnetic properties, a Claw can attract, absorb, and store electricity. When used in melee, it can release this energy upon impact with a target to potentially “extremely devastating effect”. In addition, the wielder can utilize her own Force Lightning to prime this capability.
- Lightsaber and Energy Weapon Resistant - Owing to their treatment via the esoteric techniques of Kazqyâtyit, the Electromancer’s Claws are very resistant to lightsabers and energy weapons. They can “deflect blaster bolts and other particle weapons as if magnetically sealed”.
- Sith Runes - Inscribed with Sith Runes that ward against Force Light and its derivative powers.
- Fulmination - Utilizing dark side force energy and the wielder’s own connection to the Force, an extremely powerful surge of raw electricity which is identical in nature and composition to the electricity fired by a typical ARC Caster or a Lightning Rifle is generated within the Electromancer’s Claws, before being discharged outward in either an instantaneous, yet powerful singular blast or a sustained, directed stream of current. Much like the electrical discharges from an ARC Caster, these raw electrical discharges can “jump” from one target to another, allowing the wielder to potentially strike multiple enemies in a single discharge.
- Claws of Lightning - With their mono-molecular tips, the Electromancer’s Claws can be used as an unpowered melee weapon capable of slashing through durasteel. When primed with electricity, they can deal even more damage, rivaling the slashing power of a lightsaber via explosive, electrically-motivated cutting power.
- Eternal Shadow - The Electromancer’s Claws are warded against Force Light, giving them enhanced resistance to the luminescent power of the Jedi and light side Force-users.
- Force Nullification - As the Electromancer’s Claws rely on dark side force energy to function, if caught within the radius of a Ysalamiri field or inside the effective area of a Force-dampening creature or object, they may either cease to function altogether or work less efficiently, depending on the nature of the disruption.
- Backfire - Because of the large amount of dark side force energy stored within the Claws, they are liable to heat up and possibly even explode if overloaded or destroyed. The former process of heating can inflict burns on the wielder's fingers.
- Exaction - Drawing not only on the dark side force energy within one of the Electromancer’s Claws, the focuses also exact a toll on their wielder, demanding that she provide the initial spark of Sith Lightning which is then focused and enhanced by a Claw. In essence, wielding a Claw can be just as exhausting as harnessing Force Lightning on its own.
- Long Nails - The Electromancer’s Claws make it difficult to quickly grab objects and limit the wielder’s manual dexterity to an extent. In the heat of combat, when one might need to inject a stim, arm a grenade, pull out a new weapon, or toggle switches on a commlink, these tasks can take far longer. Not to mention, it also takes some time to remove the Claws, especially if they were worn on both hands.
Crafted by First Sister, the Electromancer’s Claws are a potent power focus designed to complement her affinity for Force Lightning and other forms of electricity manipulation via the Force. A culmination of months of work, study, and resource collection, the Claws saw their first iteration with Malsheem’s laboratories. Perfecting their design, First Sister developed her skills in harnessing the esoteric techniques of Sith Alchemy in the next iterations. With the final iteration, First Sister sanctified the Claws in accordance with Kainate Sith traditions and meditated over them, binding them to her will and the will of her master, Darth Carnifex.
In this regard, First Sister and by extension, the Electromancer’s Claws ultimately serve at the behest of the Sith’ari, as blessed instruments of the Eclipsing Mission.
