Description
Designed as a personal weapon using information from the Sith Archives, the Lightwhip is designed as a flexible mid-range weapon, consisting of a metallic hilt with the traditional components of a lightsaber, combined with a long metallic flexible tendril along which energy can be channeled, creating a powered energy whip.
This is naturally dangerous to the user as well as to those they wield it against. However, unlike the traditional lightsaber, which has the ability to slice through nearly any material, the light whip utilises a lower power level, so as to not burn through the metallic tendrils that give the blade shape. The end result is an energetic whip capable of striking a lightsaber without being cut into pieces, and is capable of inflicting severe injury or death upon an opponent, should it strike them effectively.
The hilt is constructed of durasteel with the standard electronic components contained within, the hilt itself being of the same traditional design as a normal lightsaber. The only major difference is the absence of an emitter assembly: this has instead been altered to generate a strong energetic charge that runs along the full length of the whip, carrying all the properties of a lightsaber blade aside from the diminished power level.
