HEIGHT: 6'6"
WEIGHT: 220 lbs
EYES: Pale green
HAIR: Dark brown
SKIN: Pale white
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Strengths
Wolfguard Training – Elessar has been through one of the harshest training regimes in the Empire, and possesses all the skills and abilities one must master to graduate from the training. Proficient in most forms of weaponry, he was a skilled swordsman before his injury, but his true talents lay in his marksmanship with both rifles and pistols.
Eidetic Memory – Elessar has been blessed with near-perfect recall, though he is not entirely aware that this is the case and thinks he is just normal. Serving in the wolfguard, this talent was never utilised to the fullest extent but now with his entry to the Blackwatch he can make the most of his intellect.
Augmetic Arm – Losing his left forearm was the least of Elessar's worries as he was refitted with a top-of-the-range augmetic arm which functions even better than his old limb. He is able to exert incredible pressure with the augmetic, fold metal and tear apart arms and armour like paper.
Weaknesses
Injured in the Line of Duty – Since the accident which left Elessar requiring an augmetic arm, he has been unable to come close to the level of fitness he once took for granted, leaving him with an obvious limp in his left leg. He can run when needed, but never for long and he is reduced to a pathetic hobble for days afterwards after the exertion. It has been suggested to him that his injury is psychosomatic, but he has so far disregarded such nonsensical psycho-babble.
Shattered Will – The subtle indoctrination that every wolfguard trainee is subjected to over years breeds in each recruit an iron discipline, even to the detriment of their own safety. However, since Elessar's injury he has not been the same stoic warrior that he once was. This, more than his physical ailments, was the driving force for his "honourable" discharge from the wolfguard, a fact he is not blind to.
APPEARANCE:
Elessar is an imposing figure, tall and broad with a musculature forged in the fires of his wolfguard service that would intimidate all but the most dangerous of opponents. He has piercing green eyes, proud cheekbones and a handsome jawline indicative of his noble breeding. He lost his left forearm in war, which was replaced with a bright durasteel augmetic which almost glows with the neon blue wiring within. Deprived of the wolfguard armour he had come to think of as a second skin, he now dresses in fine tunics and breeches that allow him to venture into whatever strata of society his duties take him. His signature item is the worn leather overcoat that hangs down to his thighs and which is capable of secreting a multitude of tools and weapons required of his new position in the blackwatch.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born to the lesser noble house Stilico, Elessar was destined for a life of service in the Eternal Empire's grand military. The second youngest of seven children, Elessar was mostly forgotten during his younger, formative years despite receiving the same tutors and education as his other siblings. Left to his own devices, he developed a strong sense of self-reliance and independence and formed no strong bonds with his siblings or parents. His natural athleticism and mental acuity was singled out during his teen years when he was slated for entry into the wolfguard after so impressing his tutors, a fact which his family immediately chose to exploit as much as they could within the aristocratic political bubble of the Empire. The first of his entire lineage to gain entry to the elite wolfguard, he was both proud and vexed to be the poster boy for his family's failing fortunes, but his duty to the Empire itself proved the greatest driving force during his training.
After his graduation ceremony to full wolfguard at 20 years of age, he served with distinction for the next ten years, despite never earning the fame a soldier of another branch might have acquired, but knowing he was doing his duty to the Empire and safeguarding the high and mighty figures that played such an integral role in the running of the Empire was enough reward for him.
Then, his world exploded. During a routine bodyguard escort mission of a noble citizen, his unit suffered an attack from seditionists looking to assassinate the noble they were tasked with protecting. Elessar was rendered unconscious instantly from a thermal detonator which blew off his left forearm and tore chunks of flesh from his left leg. He came to minutes later amidst a hail of blaster fire. He immediately went on the offensive and aided his surviving squadmates in dispatching the remaining terrorists. He was one of three wolfguards remaining after the assault, but the noble was not among the living, and his entire squadron was thereafter severely admonished and punished. Due to his bravery during the attack, he was rewarded with a new high-quality augmetic arm, but was demoted back to recruit status during his recovery. When he failed to meet the standards required of wolfguard trainees, he received an honourable discharge.
Upon returning to the Stilico family estate, Elessar was treated with scorn and barely-concealed disdain from his family, who saw his discharge as a stain on their honour. He thus was forced to seek out other employment as he could not bring himself to dive into the world of noble politics. The Blackwatch was the most obvious organisation to utilise his talents in, so he applied for the rank of officer given his extensive military service. He was shocked, however, to find his request denied and to be offered the position of cadet agent instead. He guessed that House Stilico's age-old rivals, House Acheron, had interfered with his application to attempt to block his entry into the Blackwatch, but with only his suspicions he was unable to challenge the decision. He brooded for a number of days before deciding to accept this latest indignity, vowing to prove his worth through his actions as a dedicated citizen of the empire. After all, his duty to the Eternal Empire trumped his own personal pride… didn't it?
