Psychological Profile
STRENGTHS
Physical Prowess: Eli has made a point of not only being in shape, but constantly challenging himself physically whether through a new gym routine or a high intensity outdoor sport like Rock Climbing or Kayaking.
Combat Proficiency: Through a storied career of combat and military operations Eli has become akin to a god of the battlefield, quickly able to adjust and adapt as situations unfold. As a combat veteran, he has become a solid tactician, reading the enemy and leading troops is what he does best.
Cool and Collected: Not much gets under his skin, both due to his long history of operating in adverse conditions as well as his natural temperament. In stressful situations he is able to remain calm and collected, able to see things as they are rather than how they appear to be. His demeanor allows him to carefully and effectively react to situations faster and more collectively than most average soldiers.
Diplomatic: If possible, he relies on diplomacy rather than the sheer force of power. Eli recognizes the value in diplomatic solutions first, the hammer second. Despite this “Diplomacy first” attitude, he does not hesitate to use force when necessary and once committed will not hold back.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Strong Tie to Humanity: Despite his profession as a soldier, Eli has retained his strong connection to self. As such, he refuses to give in to the hatred that can consume soldiers of lesser mental and emotional fortitude. He has not let the rigors of combat strip him of his humanity. He is not unusually cruel.This also limits his perceived choices in morally difficult situations as he is unable to choose options that are inhumane.
Empathy: Underneath his rough exterior, Eli Brooks truly feels for the people under his command, around him, and people he meets. It’s one of his redeeming qualities as a career soldier, he hasn’t lost sight of what he’s fighting for. It allows him to connect with the people around him but also can cause problems when it comes to making the tough decisions as he struggles to put others in harm.
WEAKNESSES
Self-Sacrificial: He’s a good leader, to a fault. He’s lived by the idea that he won’t ask anyone to do something he himself is either unable or unwilling to do. As such he is quick to put himself in harm’s way if it spares others the danger or loss.
Prejudiced: While not outright bigoted against alien species, he has a strong tendency to distrust non-humans and specifically force users. This causes conflict with his better qualities as it drives him to act unreasonably towards them without due cause whereas he is twice as likely to trust a human over a force user or alien species.
Savior Complex: If there is a shred of hope that someone or many people can be saved, he will do everything in his power to do so. When he is unable to or fails, this hits him hard and can result in increased levels of emotional distress causing his judgement to be clouded and eliminating his normally collected demeanor.

BIOGRAPHY:
Eli Brooks. On the surface? A career warfighter. Beneath the uniform? A man of deep complexity. Eli had enlisted in the Alexandrian Marine Forces as soon as he was of age, starting from the bottom. He had jumped at the opportunity to serve and travel, never happy to stay rooted in one place. A career Marine, Eli has racked up quite the mission record. As a young Marine, Eli quickly rose among his peers, fully absorbing the culture of the Alexandrian Marine Forces and learning the ins and outs of his equipment. He was a quick study, learning and grasping techniques and strategies faster than most, able to improvise in a bind and adjust his strategies as required by the mission.
Through both experience and his exceptional performance, he has recently been promoted to Staff Sergeant, acquiring command of an entire platoon of Marines. His achievements have been thus far, mostly related and limited to Alexandrian Space, his true legacy yet to be carved out of the universe at large. With the overthrow of the previous government and the military in sound control of Alexandria, Eli Brooks has taken his new position to heart and is looking forward to continuing his career serving in the armed forces of the Commonwealth.
