Description: The long and arduous war between the Galactic Republic and the One Sith was looking bleak for the Republic, with the looming prospecting of losing the war at the Battle of Togoria. If the Republic lost the battle, then it's connection to it's northern territories would be severed and lost from it's capital in the Yutan system. This would effectively end the war in a One Sith victory, as the Republic would be destroyed.
In anticipation of the looming battle, based off her experiences at the Battle of Contruum months prior to the impending invasion of the Togoria system, Jedi Knight Ella Nova arranged a meeting with Jedi Master Mantic Dorn within the newly constructed Republic Force Enclave on Yutan, so that they could prepare for the battle. Prior to their meeting, Ella and her trusted astromech droid Arsix had researched into the archives of the Jedi Order (into what had been recovered since the Four Hundred Year Darkness) to learn more about the different types of armour that could be used, based on what Ella wanted her armour to do.
As they discussed the circumstances of their meeting, speaking about the looming prospect of another battle with the Sith and how they felt that their fellow Jedi had abandoned the Republic when it needed them the most, Mantic used his skill to craft an insignia of the Jedi Order to wear on the Armourweave cloak, attached via the shoulder guards, that was imbued with his love and power in the Force. It would provide Ella was a sense of calm and peaceful at the most stressful of times, allowing her to focus better in the heat of battle.
The armour itself is a composite of a Powersuit combined with a durasteel breastplate and legs. Powersuits were either made to increase the wearers power and agility or to be resistant to blaster bolts. Recycling the pieces of used Powersuits left over from the long war with the One Sith, Ella crafted the Powersuit parts of the overall armour to increase her power and agility whilst being resistant to blaster bolts. However, due to most of the armour being made out of durasteel, making it not entirely a Powersuit, Ella's armour would never give her the full advantages that an actual Powersuit would normally give her, only retaining some of it's advantages.
The breastplate, legs and shoulder guards are made out of durasteel. A hardy substance, this gives Ella's armour anti-Lightsaber capability, although a sustain stab or cut will eventually pierce through and hit home on the wearer. They are painted white, with the crest of the Galactic Republic painted blue on the left part of the breastplate, symbolizing the colours of the Republic. Hanging from the shoulder cards is a brown cloak, symbolizing the colours of the Jedi Order, that is made out of Armourweave. The cowl of the cloak is also made out of the same substance, giving the wearer the ability to become hooded.
With this set of armour, Ella hopes to follow in the footsteps of Jedi Master Corin Tok, a famous Zabrak Jedi from the Galactic War era from centuries ago, whose legend still persists into the modern era despite the disasters that have occurred in between then and now. Whilst Ella's armour does not have the reinforced plating or Cortosis weaves that Tok enjoyed on his own, with the weight of that reinforced plating limiting her and having no access to the rare Cortosis ore, she hopes that the addition of the Powersuit advantages, combined with durasteel plating, will give her a similar legend born out of battle with the One Sith.
