With Rex Valhoun's ascension to the throne came a massive amount of reforms to all aspects of The Empire. The military was heavily altered, with several sub-branches being added. Among these branches, perhaps the most important was The Elysium Engineer Corps, which adds much needed specialists to support the "grunts" of the army when it comes to explosives and heavy weapons. Engineers also act as field mechanics, making critical repairs in the heat of battle.
