SPECIAL FEATURES

• Obsidian: Forged from obsidian on Mustafar, the core contains the raw and dark power of the planet, which forms the base for its enhancements through Sith alchemy
• Songsteel: This reinforcement gives the obsidian more durability, preventing it from breaking under stress
• Rancor leather: Since the weapon's blade and handle are balanced, the black dyed leather serves as both a practical and symbolic grip
• Sith alchemy: This makes the blade unnaturally sharp when heat activated, allowing it to slice through tougher materials and also heighten emotions like anger and aggression

STRENGTHS

• Infused with dark side energy it can also sharpen one's reflexes during more intense exchanges if necessary
• The blade's heated edges can slice through thin layers of stuff like plasteel, durasteel, and titanium. However, it still falls short on those such as doonium or beskar
• Reinforced with songsteel, and while not ideal for fighting against those wielding a lightsaber, it can at least block/intercept a strike without breaking

WEAKNESSES

• The dark side energy makes Davorin highly prone to imbalance as it would be tempting to give into emotions such as anger or fear. This could also influence his thoughts and decisions if used for a longer period of time
• The heat activation, being tied to Sith alchemy, would make him detectable to others who are attuned to the Force when used
• The blade's connection to the dark side would weaken in areas imbued with Light energy or against individuals who are stronger in the Light side of the Force
• Since it requires constant connection to the Force, extended use could drain physical energy and mental clarity too, thus leaving him fatigued and/or vulnerable
• Under the effects of Force suppression, the weapon can lose its alchemical sharpness and durability, turning it into a simple blade

DESCRIPTION

Emberfang was forged with precision in mind. Its purpose is not that of mindless destruction, but rather deliberate action; born for the silent art of assassination, it was designed to strike only when necessary. Outside of that, the dagger is rarely drawn, often reserved as a last means of defense or emergency. The weapon's creation reflects Davorin's philosophy of harnessing power responsibly, carrying it with a strong sense of duty while using the blade and the Force itself as tools, all while resisting corruption. However, this balance still demands constant effort, requiring regular meditation to maintain purpose and discipline, ensuring he doesn't fall to darker influences.
