Location: Training Area, Classified ISB Force Asset Containment Facility
Tags: Luzeri
The familiar, oddly calming white walls of the training area were like a second home for Quaela.
It was here that she had discovered her strong affinity for Cryokinesis, the power to absorb the heat from a thing, whether that be an inanimate object, an individual, or even nature itself, then to render the subject unto ice. Affinities with certain manifestations of the Force were rare, even among especially powerful Force-sensitives. In spite of the fact that her Force-sensitivity was almost universally reviled and feared within the Risen Empire, Quaela nevertheless considered her affinity for Cryokinesis and by extension, her Force-sensitivity, to be a powerful gift. Having never experienced a free life outside the containment of the ISB, she had no frame of reference to compare her present enslaved existence to that of something different and perhaps, better.
In spite of her circumstances, Quaela had found a purpose in training her Force abilities, even when Force-sensitive masters were not available to help her. Many teachings of the Jedi and Sith, especially pertaining to the more violent manifestations of the Force which would make her a more effective asset, had been made available to her, albeit in a slightly censored format. Nevertheless, Quaela sought to learn all that she could from them, often spending long hours in her quarters reading, meditating, and taking notes, before putting the techniques into practice in the training areas.
And now, putting her studies into practice was exactly what she was preparing to do.
With the distinct exception of Cryokinesis and any other manifestation of the Force which lent itself to a cooling effect, Quaela’s Force abilities were at best poorly-honed and at worst, untrained. In addition, she had no skill or even a remote level of proficiency with a lightsaber. Now, after many months of augmenting her natural affinity towards Cryokinesis, she had begun working to improve her other skills. However, as much as she wanted to, she couldn’t exactly do that alone. It was why she had approached one of her peers for assistance, so that she could hone the arts of Sense and Leap.
Within the white walls of the training room, clad only in an outfit of white leggings and an identically-colored crop top, Quaela meditated while she waited for her white-haired peer to arrive. The woman was not late by any means, but Quaela had intentionally told her to be in the area at noon, so that she could spend an hour before meditating by herself. This was the first time that Quaela had truly reached out to one of her peers for assistance. As such, she could not help but to feel somewhat apprehensive about the imminent meeting. In truth, she had no idea how well-honed and powerful the white-haired woman’s abilities in the Force were, whether they were weaker, dramatically exceeded her own, or even roughly equal. It had some amount of preparation for her to summon the will to ask the woman to collaborate in the first place. Regardless, without the luxury of Force-sensitive masters, Quaela had to learn through her own ways, and that often meant asking her peers to work together.
