Embracing the Darkness Within (Part 2)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYPWxymohWs

The planet Dagobah. It was a cruel place, a dark place, a place of death, and a place of decay. More importantly it was the place Vengeance had decided to use to get away from it all. The Galaxy, the War, the Politics, and even the Sith. He had become disenfranchised with it all. Life held no meaning anymore. For a few weeks he had felt like he had moving around on auto pilot.

So here he stood just outside the same Dark cave he had intended to take a fellow Knight and two acolytes to a week earlier. He knew from the very beginning he would not be leaving but he had at least intended to lead the group here and back to the ship before disappearing. As the group pressed forward, as he had observed them and the way they acted he had found himself unable to keep the ruse up.

So when they had all gone to sleep he had slipped away........slipped away into the night.

Vengeance took a deep breath and stepped into the cave. He closed his eyes. He stood there for a moment before he moved deeper into the cave. As he did he called out.

"I have returned my friend............I am home."

His tone was not mocking.............no he truly felt at home. To the place where he had connected to himself. He turned the corner a familiar robed figure standing in his path.

Vengeance smiled noting the still blurry nature of the figure. Even then he knew it was the same figure from last time. The force signature was unmistakable. He smiled as he spoke to him.

"Did you come to die so called Sith?"

Vengeance chuckled.

"Only in death can I truly be free."

He opened his arms wide his head tilting to the side his chin dropping a barely noticeable bit.

"Do your worst I have no fear.

Vengeance turned his head quickly to the side with a smirk as the figure lashed out at him. His hands to still held out wide.

"Tsk tsk tsk." "So predictably irrational." "How am I supposed to fear something that can't control their own emotions?"

Vengeance barely even flinched as the figure shot forward stopping only an inch from his face and hissed.

"Your end will come sooner than you think." "The darkness consumes all in it's path.............it will consume you too in time."

A smile crossed his lips as his arms lowered almost as if to hug the figure. The figured seemed to disappear before his fingers touched each other. He looked around in the cave.

"I do not fear the darkness, I will not fear the darkness." "I am here not to fight what is coming but to embrace it...............to make it my own."

A voice echo'd through the cave in response.

"What makes you think you are worthy of the Darkness little Sith?" "Who are you to show such arrogance?"

Vengeance laughed and half snorted.

"Little Sith?" "Compared to what......compared to whom?" "Am I supposed to be like the others." "To scheme and squabble?" "To have no honor, to have no since of self." "To be nothing more than wasted Ambition?" "If that is what it means to be Sith then it is a waste of time."

A sinister laugh echo'd through out the cave.

"You know nothing of the Dark side................nothing."

Vengeance only snorted back.

"And you know nothing of Sith..............not the so called Sith of this era." "Shadows of their former selves trapped in past deeds." "Borrowing on long lost glory to jockey for meaningless position." "Masters forsake Apprentice............Apprentices forsake Master." "People who have done nothing piggy backing off of the deeds of their ancestors." "A time where name means more than deed."

He paused shaking his head.

"If that is what it takes to be Sith then I have no desire to be Sith."
