Formed by the Crown Princess and her interest in becoming a pilot and rapidly put together with externally supplied ships. They quickly rose to prominence within the Sakuran ranks, their presence in space or supporting ground troops boosted the morale of friendly forces. Time and time again they proved themselves as the premier fighter squadron earning admiration and praise. The current ships came about after Princess Kira was shot down on the planet of Saijo, and specially designed for survivability. For the majority of their operational history, they were stationed aboard the Sakuran Imperial Fleet flagship, the AIN Nagato.
But now, with the resurgence of The Underground, they have made the collective choice to set out on their own and support the group in their efforts. Now, striken from their home fleet and effectively operating within a new organization, the members of Emerald Squadron await what their future holds!

- Description: Originally the premier fighter squadron for the Sakura Empire, led by the adopted daughter of the Empress herself. They have fought in almost every campaign alongside their Alliance counterparts and with allies across the Galaxy. They fly under the banner of the Crown Princess, a light green Sakura flower. They always enter battle with high morale and extreme focus in any task or situation. They know each other well and can read one another's actions in combat.
