HISTORY
Emilia is the eldest daughter of Alan and Elaina Locke. Alan, being Wilhelm's brother, was blessed—or perhaps cursed, depending on one's point of view—that his side of the family had not endured the public scrutiny or limelight that Wilhelm had to face for so many years.
As a child, Emilia wanted for nothing, as one might expect of someone with the last name Locke. She grew up in wealth and had everything she desired. When people spoke of her, "spoiled" and "princess" were often the words used to describe Emilia. In her teenage years, she sought to shatter that image by developing a rebellious streak, largely influenced by her cousin Allyson Locke .
Allyson introduced her to the love of piloting and the thrill of recklessness by attempting things that were both dangerous and foolish. The lessons learned from her cousin nurtured Emilia's passion for flying and her knack for getting into trouble. Mercifully for her parents, her rebellious period waned as she grew older and started a career in business. She spent considerable time talking with her other cousin, John Locke , about how to build a company, as pride kept her from seeking advice from her father or grandfather.
In the course of building her first company, Emilia spent time on several worlds, immersing herself in the cultures and languages of many trade species, particularly Jawas and Hutts. She became fluent in both Huttese and Jawaese, skills that greatly aided her in negotiations and business dealings. During these days, her cousin Matthew Locke proved to be a valuable ally. Whenever she got into trouble, she could always rely on Matthew to apply an "appropriate level of force" to get her out of dangerous situations.
