Name: Vedarric Pallopides
Loyalties: Imperial Remnant
Role: Emperor
Development Threads:
Implementation of Order
Separation of States
Age: 30
Species: Human
Force-Sensitive: No
Appearance: Mentioning that the past few years have not been kind to the man would be an understatement. Due to his recently acquired position as leader and main financial backer of the re-surged Imperials, the stress and worries of tomorrow have taken their toll on the man. His hairline is slowly receding from the front, a few strands of graying hair found here and there on his scalp. His forehead and cheeks are wrinkled to the point one would be forgiven for believing the man to be at least twenty to thirty years older than he states. Despite this however, his small nose and masculine jawline still give off the impression of a handsome individual, his furrowed eyebrows and stern gaze able to impose respect into most people. His body frame is rather light, but his muscles toned and well exercised.
The armor he is most commonly seen in is more ceremonial than practical, the silk cape attached to his shoulders and numerous jewelry hanged around his neck and inserted within the armor proper meant to put his wealth and influence on display for others to see clearly. The material itself is rather thin, unable to provide much in terms of protection from either slashing or bludgeoning weapons and attacks, but has the capability of withstanding a shot or two from small caliber weapons.
Personality: He can be generally described as a man who has mastered his way around courtly affairs and business meetings, learning to put on the proper facade to whoever he finds himself in a discussion with in an attempt to curry their favor, often times with extraordinary results. No matter who he has to deal with, he is able to read them like a book and repeat to them the words they wish to hear, and the gestures they wish to see. Behind this amalgamation of masks, he is a rather ruthless and calculated individual, valuing the success of his people and himself above anything else, and is more than willing to cede controls in certain matters, such as those of the military, to the more experienced and educated. Above all however, he has been labeled a just, and fair individual by all who have had the pleasure of dealing with him personally.
Weapon of Choice: A blaster for when range and distance is required, and a sword for when a brawl is inevitable. Regardless of his equipment, his knowledge and expertise on making use of this weapons are elementary.
Wealth: As a direct descendant of the Imperial family, Vedarric, is blessed to have in his possession vast amounts of funds and resources, the likes of which to make any self-respecting businessman blush. They have been bestowed upon in the form of expensive jewelry, shares in profitable businesses, and numerous bank accounts on less regulated planets. Unfortunately, the great majority of his wealth is funneled directly into the Imperial Remnants, and as such, he has very little to his name in terms of personal spending.
Combat Function: While he has knowledge regarding matters of strategy, tactics, and logistics to a certain degree, as well as a basic understanding of combat, he only participates in battle in the direst of conditions or in festive, and traditional rituals. His Guards are there to ensure his hasty retreat and safety when needed.
Skills: While possessing rudimentary knowledge of strategy, tactics, and logistics, as well as a basic understanding of combat, they are in no way, shape, or form a strong suit of his, or an area where he can even be descried as competent. His true calling lies in the arts of economics and politics, most notably in the branches of trade deals and regulations, respectively propaganda and subterfuge.
Notable Possessions: Numerous personal trinkets that have been passed down through the family, from generation to generation, holding both a high sentimental and material value. Shares in various companies bestowed upon him by either his family, or through his own cunning and sharp business sense. Numerous pieces of art, ranging from portraits to, relatively small sculptures and busts.
Other Notes: While he was a direct descendant of Palpatine, and living amongst the various forms of the Empire that sprang up in recent years, he was not acknowledged as the true heir to the Empire. Under the Atrisians he was nothing more than a businessman. Most did not know that the Pallopides name tied him to the man who once struck fear into the hearts of the galaxy. Though distantly so, quite distantly. He is the direct descendant of the mans Great Niece Ederlathh Pallopides. Does that make him anything special? Not really, but he was a logical choice for a rallying point when the Atrisian's fell, which is why Mason Deschart, an Admiral, promoted him as the next Emperor, forming the Remnant around him. The man had wealth and political know how which made him a logical choice for the position of leading a fractured Imperial presence in the galaxy.
