GENESIS
There are times where one may think that the endless war between Light and Dark is a hopeless affair. However with the unfolding of recent events, there is hope. A being known simply as the Jen’Tevas, a guiding figure to those who seek knowledge, retribution, and unity. To understand yourself, and those around you, is power. By allowing the Force to be used for personal gain or to be used like a tool by it, is foolishness. The Force is an omnipresent source of power and knowledge. The line between understanding and abuse is thin when it comes to the Force, only through the Jen’Tevas and his path, can one learn to see it.
ARE YOU READY?
OOC
The Empire of the Jen’Tevas is essentially the equivalent of the Holy Roman Empire. In that, we mean that it isn’t an empire at all. The Empire of the Jen’Tevas is more of a state equivalent to the Vatican City at the moment. With headquarters located in a temple complex fit for housing and administration of the faith, the “Empire” operates with its network of priests and holy warriors. As of right now, we do not have plans for galactic conquest or subjugation of the lesser race; but rather faith and crusade. This faction is primarily geared towards people who are looking for a fresh and new experience on the site. Instead of an empire, a syndicate, a republic, or a corporation, the Empire operates as a church and a religious organization that is connected through a framework of various temples and missions on various planets. It doesn't matter if you're a warmongering brute eager for battle, a scholarly monk searching for wisdom, or a simple smuggler looking for a job; all are welcome.
THE JEN'QO: FAITH OF THE EMPIRE
The Jen'Qo, translated from Sith as the Dark Path, is the faith that Empire and the church revolve around. The Jen'Qo is a faith centered around the belief in a figure known as the Jen'Tevas, a being that is believed to have existed ever since the dawn of time that utilizes individuals to further its own goals or to simply fulfill its desires of learning. The faith itself is primarily based off of ancient Sith traditional folklore and beliefs but is not affiliated with the Sith's view of the force or the galaxy. Instead, the Jen'Qo takes a different view of the force as something that is not black and white but as an all powerful tool that is a manifestation of the will of the Jen'Tevas. The Jen'Qo is not a religion that centers itself around the force and accepts all who wish to heed the word and call of the Lord. Anyone who does not have the ability to use the force is more than capable of becoming a wide array of positions within the Empire and the faith itself. For force users, the Jen'Qo does not preach any of the two sides of the force and instead pushes the students of the religion who also study the force to explore all of the possibilities. While this has garnered a reputation for the religion being "dark side" oriented, the leading members of the faith continue to deny the statement as fact. The Jen'Qo is a religion that bases its beliefs around teaching, learning, helping, and controlling. Those that sign up to join the faith should expect to constantly be searching for ways to improve, to learn, to fix, and to win as the central tenets of the faith preach that all members should constantly strive for a greater pursuit of knowledge and experience.
As a faith, it is necessary that it have structure in order to properly administrate itself. It goes as such:
Loimus Kissai
Kissai
Geras Kissai
Ari'Kissai
As you can see, the names of the ranks for the faith are based around the Sith language; the clerical language and administrative language of the faith and empire next to Galactic Basic.
GOVERNMENT OF THE EMPIRE
The Empire of the Jen'Tevas is a theocratic state that centers itself around the Jen'Qo and its hierarchy. As a state, it functions with the leading members of the faith as the leading members of the Empire. This is due to the fact that the Empire is a small, fledgling faith that does not have the capacity to support a fully functioning government body. The government is overseen by the emperor, or Kal'Evos, of the Empire. The Kal'Evos is the one who has been chosen as the next successor to the line of the Jen'Tevas and the next to inherit its wisdom and presence. Below, the Kal'Evos has an inner circle which are known as the "Inner Creations" by the faith and holy texts of the Jen'Qo. These members of the inner circle are said to represent pieces of the Jen'Tevas that have been distributed in order to properly manage and execute its will wherever it may need to be done. The government operates under this framework:
JEN'TEVAS
INNER CIRCLE
JEN'KOMMUNAL
LORDS OF THE EMPIRE
ARI'KISSAI/VIRMASI COMMANDER
GERAS KISSAI/VIRMASI CAPTAIN
KISSAI/VIRMASI
LOIMUS KISSAI/TYRO
The ranks move from top to bottom; top being the rank at where he who is at that rank wields absolute authority. While the government is centered around the faith at the moment, this does not mean that the Empire is not open to change. If proper politicians and or statesmen make their presence known within the Empire then a functioning Imperial government may be implemented in order to govern the Empire while the faith governs itself. Until this time comes, the Kal'Evos rules with an absolute theocratic fist and the faith's laws are the laws of the Empire and its people.
DIVISIONS
The Empire operates using two primary divisions: The Virmasi, or crusaders, and the Kissai, priests. The Virmasi caste is a division catered towards those that are primarily seeking the thrill of battle and the glory of conquest in the name of a righteous cause. As Virmasi, those that join are given proper combat training as well as given the opportunity to gain land and plunder through crusade and conquest during times of holy war. If war isn't your style of play, then the Kissai are the caste for you. The Kissai are those that are centered around knowledge, faith, and mysticism. Members of the Kissai are taught about the Jen'Qo, the Sith language, and the inner workings of the force. As Kissai, those that join the division are granted access to the inner workings of the faith and the empire as well as vast control over the operations of the temples and missions that are vital to the Empire's survival. Each has its own unique way of ranking up and continuing up the latter, all culminating in the position of Lord.
MILITARY, IMPERIAL, NON-FORCE USERS
The Empire is, at the moment, based around the doctrine and administration of the faith. At the moment, the Virmasi serve as the primarily police and military force within the Empire and an imperial governing body is yet to truly take form. When it comes to non-force users, they are welcome into the same positions as any other would be. The training of each division is built so that any may pass the trials and advance through the ranks of the Empire. This is all subject to change, however, if popular opinion is in favor of establishing an imperial government as well as an imperial military and police force. All that is needed is capable and competent politicians and generals to lead the way into integrating these new systems in the Empire. Until then, the faith rules supreme.
Non-force users are heavily encouraged to take up the faith and fight alongside their force sensitive brethren in order to build a bond between the two groups instead of fueling tensions and further deepening any prejudices that may exist between the two groups about each other.
THE FUTURE
The Empire of the Jen'Tevas as a state and religious entity holds many ambitious plans for the future. Long term goals of the Empire and the faith are primarily to work out compromises with other factions in order to establish missions or temples within their borders in order to spread the faith around the galaxy. Additionally, the Empire is very keen on utilizing holy wars in order to invigorate members of the faith and attract those that are in love with the prospect of battle and conquest in the name of a righteous cause. Through the use of the Jen'Qo and its mighty legion of priests and warriors, the Empire of the Jen'Tevas wishes to show the galaxy its faith and the fact that one does not need a large, sprawling Empire in order to win over the hearts of millions but rather a righteous cause that causes the zealous and the pious to come together in a strong, unified league.
Yes, we do want to build an empire. Given the current state of the galaxy, it's clear that only crusade and holy war will solve this. DEUS VULT!
