SPECIAL FEATURES
- Lifeform Scanner ~ A sensor wired into the mask that allows a short range scan for lifeforms.
- Thermal Vision ~ The second sensor within the mask is the ability to view the world through thermal energies.
- Force-Imbued ~ This suit of armor is imbued by the neutral Force to drastically improve it's durability and resistances.
- Voice Modulator ~ This function is set into the mask as well. Altering the voice into however the wearer desires, and even sound binary.
[*]One With The Shadow ~ Due to the shadowsilk, the armor is very quiet which might sound like nothing except to those with keen hearing. In low lighting, the armor blends with the shadows making it easier to hide in dark areas.
STRENGTHS
- Dispersed Energy In a combination of the Druetium acting as a good defense against blasters, the ultrachrome surrounding the plates and within the dark cloak disperses that energy across the body. Essentially dampening the damage greatly before it can hurt the wearer. Often this is seen as if the thermal energy is caressing the armor when struck by blasters.
- Force Kinetic Resistance The Druetium plates was imbued by the Force during the creation process, and in doing so the dark breastplate grants incredible resistance to the kinetic weapons. Additionally, the cloak is also imbued by the Force despite the combination of ultrachrome to grant greater resistance to both energy and lightsaber.
- Lightsaber Surrounding the breastplate and the combination of Druetium and Ultrachrome offers the dark grey cloak to be incredibly resistant to lightsabers. The cloak disperses the intense energy within the lightsabers over the armor rather than having it concentrated into one point. Effectively dampening the lethality of lightsabers, but of course this doesn’t grant total protection.
- Enviroweave Underneath the armor is a skin-tight suit of Enviroweave which is arguably a must have in order to function comfortably whether it is hot or cold. Extreme cases of the environment can be mitigated to some degree.
- Electricity Intolerance The armor is great at dispersing energy, but unfortunately this applies to electricity too as it is ironically a good conductor. The internal bits might mitigate the electrical current, but it is minor at best.
- EMP Despite how the armor looks, there are still delicate electronics involved in this set. Unfortunately they have very little protection against EMP effects and are susceptible to malfunction as a result.
- Vacuum/Pressure The suit isn't suitable to withstand lots of pressure, or rather provide protection from the vacuum of space as it were.
- Force Nullification Because it is imbued by the Force, it is susceptible to being suppressed or nullified by another Force User. In which case the plates doesn't grant as much protection against kinetic damage. Basically the Kinetic Resistance will drop from High to Low.
Time after time, Rath has used his Aegis of the Snow and in it's favored terrain the armor works wonders. However, Rath quickly grew to notice that not everywhere was gonna be cold, and in fact it becomes really uncomfortable to wear when in a high humid or extremely dry environment. Hence prompted the idea of making a second Aegis of the Shroud as he originally planned on having a Aegis for every environment.
The trip to Jakuu proved this point home as the unbearable heat made Rath simply miserable because the armor was designed to insulate, not deal with dry heat. For a time, Rath focused on training within the Spear program in a variety of Force related abilities. The program was practically the main thing Rath could openly practice his Force abilities without revealing that he's a Warden. During that time, Rath came to a better understanding of what he needed in terms of armor, and why both Sith and Jedi tend to wear robes. Or at least lightly armored robes for that matter. So the young Warden made it a goal to at the very least make the armor weigh incredibly light yet still have a bit of protection.
He took the concept of his Aegis and simply removed a lot of the electronics and focused less on metals. Rath primarily used the shadowsilk specifically to make it easier to stealth in dark areas while reducing as much noise as possible. Yet he kept the concept of coming up against blasters and lightsabers so Rath came up with using the common Druetium and combining the metal with ultrachrome. These metals were used to make the dark grey cloak hence the seemingly reflective visual effect. However, the entire second half process was spent meditating as he infused the Force in armor, specifically the breastplate and the cloak. Enviroweave was made underneath the armor to provide high protection regardless if it is hot or cold.
The extensive study within Sith Alchemy granted by the Spear program granted Rath enough information through time and study to make his first attempt in using Sith Alchemy. Of course Rath didn't want to make it complicated as he simply increased the durability of the armor. Providing more protection than what it would normally be able to withstand.
