TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Shoto Lightsabers.
  • Size: Small.
  • Weight: Very Light.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Able to function underwater: Thanks to the bifurcating cyclical-ignition purse and the dual crystals incorporated into the sabers, these are able to fully function underwater without suffering from structural damage or shortening of the blade.
  • Speed, maneuverability and blocking: Since they are two shorter, lighter lightsabers, the Emza'u sabers can be used with greater speed, maneuverability and, when in duel, better blocking power than its larger counterparts.
  • Force-imbued: The sabers' crystals have been force-imbued by their user to achieve two different effects. On the one hand, the blade emitted is slightly stronger than that of an average lightsaber. On the other, they serve as a channel, improving the users connection to the Force and allowing her to draw energy from this channel.
Weaknesses:
  • Lightsaber resistant materials: Though the blade is stronger, it still has an awfully hard time trying to cut through/damage the rarer, more resistant metals of the galaxy such as Beskar, Phrik, Cortosis, Songsteel and the like. Extensive contact or several, well-aimed blows to the exact same area of such metals would be necessary to attempt to damage them, something that of course is practically never possible.
  • Shorter range: The shoto lightsabers, being smaller than their standard counterparts, have a shorter range of attack and work better when up close and personal to one's opponent.
  • Force-altering elements: If in the presence of force altering elements (such as an Ysalmiri sphere of influence or a void stone) the Force-imbued characteristics of the saber cannot be tapped into.
  • Force presence: Due to the force-reactive nature of Adegian crystals, the sabers give off a faint presence of their own in the Force which can be sensed by Force-sensitives and requires effort if to be concealed.
DESCRIPTION

Constructing one's own lightsaber is a crucial step in the path of any apprentice. Lachesis, as she was known during that moment, was no different. A Je'daii Apprentice to Asha Seren, Lachesis had been familiarized with the famous weapon of a Force-user since a young age, and trained in its usage with their more harmless, training versions. Sometime during her young teenage years, her Master decided it was time for her to go through the task of constructing her own weapons.

Lachesis had been planning on this day since a very long time, and knowing she wished to follow in the steps of Asha's chosen skills, decided she'd work with dual lightsabers. She embarked on her quest by exploring the jungles and caves of Aurum. The planet was known to be a source of Adegan crystals, yet Lachesis spent many weeks searching until she collected the crystals that had felt right. After gathering the rest of the materials she would need, she entered the famous deep meditative state that allowed Je'daii to build these special weapons.

The young Je'daii Apprentice took it one step further, and spent days simply tampering with the crystals, attuning them to her own force signature until they became imbued with the Force. By the time the sabers were finished, Esis was acquainted with a type of exhaustion she had not believed to be possible. She named the sabers Emza'u which translated roughly to "the overcoming of a trial".
