Encroachment of scum

Imahalyan
Council building

The one thing star dreaded and hated was meetings, she recently got the council back together and had met in the building to discuss matters that popped up. Most things small for the moment as she hid a yawn to be polite

and for the major matter...we've uh had reports of slavers encroaching on a nearby island...we wanted to see what your action would be

Stardust looked bored before she sat up and gave a sigh, a a she popped her back then spoke

slavers on this planet? Must've gotten past screening, in any case I wouldn't worry much councillor, I'll simply pay a visit to this island to recon. And maybe show them that slavers are not welcome...anywhere here

They talked among themselves as the one who spoke held a hand up

I figured you would your majesty, since your bodyguard is busy getting...stuff for us I've taken the liberty to hire a mercenary that'll meet you at the docks

Stardust frowned, she didn't really like working with someone she didn't choose, however she understood this and simply let a annoyed sigh out as she nodded

alright this works, this meeting is convened folks, remember to stay safe and actions low. I'm already certain they are suspicious

With that they all left Stardust heading for her house and getting armored up before heading to the docks, once she arrived she looked around for the mercenary

Marcus was a man of extremely low patience, even more so these days than usual. He stepped off of the transport shuttle, a bag slung over his shoulder as he made his way through the spaceport. The man produced a pack of cigarra's from his pocket and used his teeth to pry one from the small carton.

His eyes scanned over the spaceport, finding no real care for the people who inhabited it, they were all like ants scurrying to their respective hills. In the end he made his way outside, trying hard not to focus on the reality of his situation. Banned from traveling in over three systems and wanted through out hutt space he had thought to find safer work in the outer rim. What was the job that he got? Babysitting.

It was expected, when working the life of a mercenary, to be tasked out as a bodyguard. However, Marcus did not like the idea of being so close to the political scene. In fact it nearly made him wretch just thinking about it.

Inside of his duffel Marcus had all he needed for his work, aside from some new civilian clothes. The man himself was clad in a pair of black jeans with a matching shirt, the most noticeable thing would be the necklace he wore around his neck, it was the symbol of the black sun gang. Not quite a prominent name anymore, but at one point in time the mercenary had worked for the crime syndicate as an enforcer.

His eyes fell over the woman who he was supposed to meet and he exhaled softly.

Great, a tail head, well maybe she gives a good massage. He ignorantly mused. He approached the woman, pressing a hand into his pocket as he gestured to the spaceport. "Since you're waiting here I'm guessing you're...moondust?" He said.

Stardust stood 6 and a half feet tall, mandalorian armor making he took bigger sabers on each hip a sword and westar on her sides, she looked as the man approached. She scanned him over with her eyes catching the black sun necklace as she gave a chuckled and nodded

Stardust, you must be Marcus. Follow me I'll give you your briefly on the flight

She did not seem like a normal queen at all, she started for a small dropship hoping he'd follow

The moment the woman began speaking Marcus couldn't help but exhale softly. She seemed the type that could handle herself if nothing else, why the hell did she need a bodyguard?

"So what are going to my duties? Sundust." He said, following her to the shuttle. The man lit his cigarra before exhaling a rather large cloud of smoke. His attention was fully on the woman dressed in Mandalorian armor. He chuckled at her softly, finding the thought of a Mandalorian queen almost nauseating.

"You're a mando, huh?" He asked, a certain tone being taken as he spoke. Marcus was smart to change his name years ago, his actual name was obviously Mandalorian, now all that remained of his heritage was the Mythosaur tattoo on his chest.

She glanced nack and chuckled, this guy was definitly soemrhing she had to sau, however he seemed rough so she had to commend her council on choosing well

I'll be honest, cpuncil hired you to guard me over protective people, me and you are gonna put a quick end to a few slavers

She whispered to the pilot as he went up front, star looked to the man when he asked and kinda glanced away a bit

by marriage, my clam hasn't done anything in awhile uhhh split you could say some following another rest livumg in peace here

Marcus followed the woman onto the shuttle and scoffed at her words. "Mandalorians living in peace, that's rich." He took a deep drag from his cigarra before blowing the smoke to the side. "Mandalorians are senseless, they don't believe in things like peace, just violence." He explained, his mind drifting back to the wars he fought with his Mandalorian brothers.

He'd lie if he said he believed in peace himself, however he knew it wasn't because he was a Mandalorian, Marcus was just an ass.

"So you're married huh? Fine Tailhead like yourself, makes sense. So why isn't hubby here with you? He more the sit at the palace with the kids type?" Marcus joked, a slight chuckle coming from him.

She ignored the other stuff, true most clans didn't really care for peace to much, however he seemed to hit a nerve when he spoke about her husband. She seemed to stop almost immediately and the air grew cold for a moment before she glanced back

he, is busy out in the galaxy trying to help others out

She lied, truthfully she didn't know where he was or if he was even alive for that matter, she could feel him briefly someday others she felt nothing. The ship took off as she went stone silent looking out the front viewpoet

As the ship took off and Stardust's words settled Marcus paused before stifling a laugh. The man, while an unbearable ass was a rather good judge of character and could tell when a person's nerves were touched. Now he intended to touch them some more.

"Wait..." He said, holding back a chuckle. He set his duffel bag down before letting out a quick laugh.

"Please tell me the king isn't out.....polishing the royal lightsaber?" He muttered, nearly breaking into tears as realization came to him. "You don't even know where the hell he is do you? He's out 'helping others' alright." Marcus said before pulling his gear from his bag. Almost like a relic from a time that never happened, the man produce Clone War era ARC trooper armor.

He unzipped his pants before shaking his head at Stardust's words. "Damn, i needed that." He chuckled.

The air seemed to change, it became sweltering within the ship as started held a hand out to pick the man up as she turned, her eyes filled with anger her vision to her almost red

don't you DARE speak of my husband like that! Only thing keeping me from making confetti out of you is the fact my council hired hire and expect you back

After a moment she let him go roughly and moved away walking up from as she took a seat anger boiling

Marcus had successfully touched a nerve on the Mandalorian woman, yet her threatening tone and shift in the Force was all but ignored by the man. He stood there silently as she threatened him and upon her calming down he merely said, "You gonna hit a guy with no pants on? That's low." He remarked before slipping his legs out of his jeans.

The soldier suited himself in ARC gear. If one was familiar with clone era soldiers Marcus would seemingly strike an amazing resemblance to one, even outside of the armor. Yet with the armor on he looked as if he belonged in the grand army of the Republic.

He brought his hand into a fist, forcing the knuckle blade on his glove to extend before he retracted the weapon. Pulling he helmet over his head he activated the comm system, speaking out to the woman.

"What are we up against, tailhead?" He asked.

[member="Marcus Collier"]

She glanced up, she was gonna snap but stopped seeing the armor and couldn't help a grin before looking forward as she spoke

gonna hate me, but we have no idea should be for some fun I think, you won't have to worry much just stay out of my sabers path and I won't slice you

She said and smirked as the ship hovered a few feet above the ground opening the back

"Hate you? I think I love you." He chuckled from underneath his helmet before his HUD scanned over the woman.

"If I wanted dull orders and boring strategy I'd have stayed in the Alliance, let's bust some skulls." He said, before kneeling down, digging into his duffel bag. The soldier produced his blaster before chuckling softly once again.

Quickly attaching the sling to the weapon he placed two blaster pistol's in the holsters on his waist before slinging the rifle over his back. The back part of the ship came open, allowing the two a place to exit from. He made his way to the edge of the platform before leaping out of the thread, landing softly on the ground. Immediately he drew both of his blasters, holding them at a low ready as his HUD scanned the area.

"It's clear, tailhead." He called out.

She listened to the man and couldn't give a laifhed, she patted his shoulder as she grabbed her helmet and put it on her hud connected up as she had her sabers on hand

The doors opened and she watched him go out, she slowly stepped put as the ship went off and she gave a smile popped her neck and put he sabers up drawing the westars

you know might give you a personal job keep that up hahahaha

She started slowly for the center of the island slowly and calmly walking as she kept a gun raised and pointed

look for anything suspicious ok

Marcus couldn't help but chuckle at Stardust's comment, as his blasters fell to his side he glanced back to her.

"I'm an ass, but I'm an ass who does my job well." He said, before finally holstering the weapons. Rather than proceed with his blaster pistol's he drew his blaster rifle, unslinging the weapon from his shoulder.

Stardust said to look for anything suspicious and Marcus could not help but comment. "Roger. I was just about to look for things that weren't suspicious." He commented, as they proceeded down the beachhead. The man's boredom set in faster than one would think and already he began idle chatter. "So how does a Mandalorian end up queen of a planet anyway?" He asked, a brow arched in question, yet hidden by his helmet.

She smiled deciding she herself could be a smart one and commented back

careful There! That patch of grass looks to wavey!

She was smirking behind her helmet as she walked leading and checking each and every area she could, beach seemed clear smart people not having their operation within sight meant also they weren't part time. She glanced back at his question then forward

was searching for a family member, need up receiving the location after he sent a encoded message...followed it to here...before it was under imperial rule of a dictator, a days or so fight straight to the capital needed up beading the bastard

She paused stopping at the jungles edge

I stayed and helped the people rebuild...iver time I became a popular name to rule in a constitutional monarchy, so I took the seat and became queen brought peace to the planet and opened trade up...that was...roughly 5 years ago

Though they were not precisely a team Marcus found a bit of comfort moving forward with the woman, though many things outside of her control still seemed to upset the man about her.

Marcus listened to the Twi'lek's story with a bit more interest than he generally did anything else when under contract. As it came to an end he chuckled a bit before shaking his head. "Was sure you were going to say your clan led some half-ass coup to take the planet. At least they chose you." He explained, before gesturing back towards the direction they had came.

"Doesn't look like they're stupid enough to post on a beachhead. Let's move deeper into the jungle." He said, leading the way. As they moved out of the sandy coast and into the foliage that made up the island's jungle he spoke up once more. "I'm surprised there aren't more Mandalorians here. Hell if any other of those bucket headed clowns had landed here they'd have militarized the hell outta this planet."

Marcus offered a quick shrug before lowering his rifle, tapping the side of his gauntlet softly. The rangefinder on the side of his head adjusted itself before lowering over the T-shaped visor that was on his helmet. Using the monocular function of the device he scanned the area as he took a knee, finding cover in a thick bush right in front of him.

"I get the feeling they may know we're here." His eyes fell onto a low glint in the distance, barely discernible even with his rangefinder. However before he continued a blaster bolt flew past him, striking the base of a nearby tree. "Never mind, they definitely know we're here."

He quickly lowered himself to the deck before calling out to the Jedi. "Sniper....I hate snipers..."

[member="Marcus Collier"]

She smirked and shook her head as she followed back looking around westar raised up as she looked over at him as she gave a smile

be honest I can't lead a coup, maybe be part if one but lead noooo

She started back with him as she looked to the jungle as she shivered a bit and seemed to hesitate before moving forward

that's what worries me...means they are not casual wannabes, also means I bet they have firepower

The crunching of the sand turned to grass as she followed beside him as she let the force expand out so she could feeling anything living, she glanced to him and frowned behind her helmet as she spoke

not many exactly know about my clan being here...and the clan being split...hell I don't even know what the other part is doing or what other clans are doing..

She didn't wanna go any further on it, she stopped with him looking around as she felt something neat just on the edge of her senses, her hands tightened on the grips as she scanned the area with her eyes, the glint was missed then she looked to it as the bolt hit nearby. She hit the ground quickly as she slipped the pistols in the holsters

I feel you there...he doesn't have us zeroed in yet I think....im gonna try and flushing him out with fire.

She crawled to the side keeping low as she got behind a tree, she slipped her helmet off and gathered the force, the area heated a s she peeked put and blewflames towards the sniper position hoping he'd move

When Stardust said she was going to attempt to flush him out the Dar'manda raised a hand, attempting to halt whatever she was about to do. "Hold on, hold on. I'm the bodyguard, let me handle this." He said, before his hand went to a duty pouch strapped to his belt. He produced a small thermal detonator before turning his attention towards Stardust, who had completely ignored him.

He watched the flames roll over the area before them and offered a quick suck of the teeth. "Well....damn." he muttered before priming the thermal detonator.

Marcus flew into a sprint, clearing a good portion of the distance between the duo and their shooter. It did not take long before he saw the sniper running away from the inferno that roared towards him, attempting to escape the hellish flames. However as he ran he abandoned the attention he devoted to Marcus, allowing the trooper to get close enough to launch his detonator.

Having a decent arm the Detonator flew directly over the sniper's head, a moment passed before an explosion erupted and the shooter's body was flung into a nearby tree, causing Marcus to wince. "Ouch."

His attention immediately turned to the surrounding area, he quickly drew his blaster pistols, checking to make sure they were once again alone. "Must have just been a scout or a patrol. Regardless we won't have long before they realize he's in more than one piece." The soldier explained.

Stardust had grinned watching as the sniper ran, no doubt in absolute fear of the sudden flames. She watched the thermal fly then the sniper fly in bits as she stood slowly blaster drawn as she moved to nearby Marcus

no doubt they heard the explosion too they'll send a larger party

She said as she started off further in, she glanced around the jungle different birds and creatures moving and making noise before going silent as they passed. She glanced to Marcus as she spoke

so how'd you find yourself being a mercenary, also in curiouswhere did you get that armor

She said, she wanted to make some small talk get to know this man...he was quite interesting, she knew he had to have a few stories on him least something
