Ending the Dashade

Location: Urkupp
System: Urkupp
Sector: Auril
Territory: Outer Rim.

Time: Classified
Subjects: Classified
Allies: None

Objective: Destroy the Dashade Population...

Iziz had spent some time travelling the save route to the planet of Urkupp, the planet there had a long standing history of being powerful warriors, too powerful for the Jedi to have as a race on their side, or any of their allies... Iziz had been sent with a small group of other Sith Knights on a mission to eliminate as much of their species as possible, make themselves known and seen, this wasn't an assassination, it was an extermination of a race... and a smear campaign against the Jedi to effectively eliminate a potential ally before the possibility ever came to pass.

Equipping robes from fallen Jedi in past wars, and using lightsaber crystals taken from them in the reserves of the Sith, it would not be hard to make the Sith aggressors seem as Jedi for the most part, save for those among them who would be able to sense the dark side within them, but they would be few and far between. Not to mention that Urkupp was a planet out of the way, barely registering on any map and certainly not claimed by any side within the war. After an extermination the plan was to approach them as the sith, or simply leave them in civil unrest... but the key was killing enough of them and killing the right ones.

Iziz didn't like this strategy, but he had been chosen, and this was the first time he had even engaged in something like this... looking at his retrofitted light-saber he thought to himself that there was some good that came out of this... the Dashade were not a noble people, they were vicious and beast-like, their power to resist the force was far too dangerous to be allowed to fall into the wrong hands.

So, as the ship arrived, the "Jedi" exited the freighter, looking around as they began to move to the first of the Dashade outposts...

Greeted by a small armed force, the "Jedi" announced themselves as envoys of the Jedi order, sent for peace talks to the leaders of the Dashade, the Jedi were well known in this area, and it seemed that the presence of the republic bordering the area of Urkupp was not something these creatures were deaf to. Iziz and his compatriots each using techniques to hide their dark side aura from any who might be sensitive to it. The armed escort took each of the Jedi to a central hutt and began to plan a meeting with the leadership, Iziz, of them all, was to use his size and stature as a bridge between himself and the Dashade, his inferior size as a Jawa made him an incredible bargaining chip, as a Jawa within the ranks of the Sith was something which many did not expect. The Sith order being so fanatical about strength and power the likes of a fragile diminutive creature being a leader among them was unheard of...

Yet here stood Darth Yannis...

Iziz looked up to the representative elder of this particular village and bowed in greeting... Never having truly been one for manners other than when talking to his own master, the Jawa attempted to channel that power relationship into his meeting with the Dashade. The Dashade seemed tall and proud, towering over the Jawa at above six feet in height with a masculine build even for an aging man. Iziz waited for the man to speak, and the questions that followed were simple enough, asking the Jawa why he had come to their planet, and what his intentions were. Each of them to a Jedi would be good questions, But the aim was to only be 'like' a Jedi...

Listening to the rambling of the man was interesting as he divulged the varied history of his people and their proud warrior culture, and spoke that he expected the Jedi would want them as allies, now that the borders of the republic were approaching their home-world.

Iziz nodded, trying to think like a Jedi, or as much as what he knew of them. He understood that their history was hypocritical, self proclaimed pacifists who became soldiers in conflicts with unique fighting talents and powers as soon as tensions arose. They preached peace, and that narritive would hopefully be enough, but the Jedi were not stupid... perhaps they would attempt to offer neutral gain to broker this alliance. Iziz for the first time in his life had to think like a politician, and it was not easy for the Jawa... so, with his head bowed, in a moment of deep thought, Iziz looked stern and held silence for a time as he collected his words...

"The Galaxy, has become a dangerous place, we... hope... that an alliance between the Dashade and the Jedi could save billions of lives in our fight against the one sith and the prime-evil. Your proud warriors and Shadows could fight for balance and a noble good train men in their advanced methods to help in the front, or you could simply allow us passage through your system without contention as a trade route. If you fear throwing your people into the warmachine. we don't solely ask for soldiers."

Iziz thought he had done a good job, trying not to focus on just the combat tendencies of war, the elder began to think about the whole thing, it seemed that his response was simple enough, that he could not make any decisions on his own, there were many elders among the Dashade, none of them had soverignty over the world, but each of them had some form of say. They would have to arrange a meeting of leadership to discuss the nature of this alliance and the mutual benefits which it would bring to their world and their people.

Iziz nodded,

"We're not here to settle the alliance, but if we could convince the others to be open to piece talks, our senators could arrive here and... arrange the inner details of a mutual relationship between our people. One where everyone prospers. "

Iziz didn't think that this would go well... the Elder before him said that he would send word to other elders in an attempt to call a meeting of the minds, the Dashade were a careful people and many of them might be dealing with their own things, or send assassins and warriors to the side of the Sith. Which was perfect, those who were against the Jedi to begin with could be noted and spared in the massacre to come, each of them no doubt becoming the loudest political voices against the Jedi... and powerful political tools for the Sith were they ever to come to this planet, it would be a head start against the Jedi if they were to oppose them. Looking to the man Iziz ushered his two compatriots out of the room and said they would retire to their ship until they received word back from the other Elders...

But their presence had not gone unnoticed...

Exiting the room, Iziz caught the eye of a Dashade clad in black, wearing armour and a mask, it seemed that the Dashade Shadow Killer was staring a hole through Iziz and the others... It would be unfortunate for a Shadow Killer who opposed the Jedi to die in an assassination attempt against them, but such an attempt on their lives could very well prove beneficial in showing the leadership that they were prepared to stay for the long haul. So, reaching the ship, they failed to digitally lock the entrance ramp, allowing an attempted invader better entrance. While Iziz began to go over the plan with the other two, as each of them seemed like they were more than ready for a fight in that room.

"Okay, this is perfect... so... I suggest, we let this plan go through, attempt to initiate peace talks with the Dashade and then attend this meeting. There, during them, the group of us strike, and lay down all those who are for the Jedi alliance. Killing all of those elders and some of the elders against us as Jedi then we all leave back toward republic space, port with our stealth ship part way and have the driver carry on to alderaan. That way all trails lead to the Jedi... Thoughts?"

Each of the Sith knights there thought about the plan, it stopped them having to attempt to destroy an entire race, a battle that without the military of the One sith would largely be a suicide mission. So, they nodded... but one posed a very pressing question. The Shadow killers and their fighters. Would they be able to fight the honour guard of each of the elders as well as the elders themselves. He was sure that the elder, although he looked aged would have been a seasoned fighter in his day, and could likely still pose a problem if he wanted to....

It was a fair statement.

"We have the element of surprise, the Jedi are not known to be assassins other than the Jedi Shadows... so the only ones expecting trouble will be the sith supporters... and hopefully there wont be too many of them. The Dashade are good, but we're Sith knights. we do a run through the Elders and fight our way out to the ship. It will not be easy, but, its the best way we have to make waves..."

The others were hesitant, but there were three of them, the numbers of body guards could not be larger than ten or so per elder, then the elders themselves, so, it would come down to how many appeared with each elder, not to mention what they were equipped with, the Dashade were fighters, so, Iziz was able to immediately tell that their strength led them to using armour and melee weapons more than blasters and projectiles where able, which was always a step in the direction of ease.

It was at that point there was a hurried knock on the door, with a shout coming out from a Dashade, stepping out and looking around there seemed to be three Dashade looking panicked, saying that the elder had been murdered while trying to meet with another of the Elders to arrange the meeting. Looking to the others, Iziz and the other two had to play along, running with the men and keeping up with some ease they ran to the outskirts of town. Iziz wasn't stupid, he knew this was a trap, just like he knew that the shadows who had been there had known about the Jedi showing up from the moment they touched down... The Dashade, it seemed, were not very trusting of one another.

But what planet of assassins guilds was?

As they were running the Three Dashade split up at an intersection, running away in different directions and leaving the three Sith assassins standing in an open plane, as one by one the Black clad figures stood upon nearby rooftops, one of them seemed to be an elite, a Shadow Killer, while the others seemed to be Dashade assassins. Looking to his allies they each drew their lightsabers. The sabers of his allies were blue, while the two Iziz held were green in colour. Each holding their weapons defensively...

'Fight defensively, don't give in to aggression or it will give us away. Try to leave one wounded, not dead and let another escape.'

Without hesiation the three assassins jumped down, blades in hands as they rushed the three of them, Iziz stepping in the path of the Shadow killer. Bracing himself and awaiting his opponent's movements...

"I'd rather not do this... ... ..."

but his words were wasted.

The Jedi's words were always wasted on the ears of their aggressors.

The battle was over in moments, bloody, brutal, one of the knights had been wounded but nothing that a day and some bacta would not fix. The Jawa had killed the shadow assassin and with his ally carted his body to their ship and put him in a preserved state. Keeping his body and cells alive with the life support in the medical bay even though the creature himself was irreparably dead... but at least Iziz had a prize no matter what the course of events... heading back with their prisoner they visited the hutt of the elder, placing the assassin before him and saying that there had been an attempt on their lives. The Elder grimmaced at the turn of events and took the assassin away.

"Sadly the Jedi are not widely loved here, many times the Dashade assisted the Empire against you, even in the Jedi Purge... some of these bridges are left unbroken due to the work and finance they bring to their villages. These people will likely not embrace you, but they are wayward, and few in number."

Iziz nodded, and hoped that things would go smoothly from now, after dealing with one of the Shadow Killers, he doubted the Dashade would strike at them again openly like they had before. It was a simple thing, but they would not be deterred from their goal, not while they were so close. Iziz looked up at the man and inquired as to the response of the other elders and how many so far would be coming. It seemed that they had over twenty respondents and so far little over thirteen of them had spoken of coming to the gathering not including himself. Iziz thought to himself and began to do the math of the guard that they would have... this assassination was not about to be easy... perhaps they needed something more.

No... he could not be deterred, but with so many coming each of which would no doubt bring some protection, even if it was in the form of a single bodyguard or two, the number of men there was going to mean that this event was well protected... The speed of the Sith was paramount.

A few days passed and the "Jedi" were beginning to get restless though there had been no more attempts on the Jedi visitors, they had made their way to a larger establishment some hours travel at sub light speeds. The location of the talks had attracted about twenty elders, some of which were older and wiser than the one they had been dealing with so far. And it seemed that this event was rather well publicized... it had attracted a crowd as they landed and walked for the meeting hall. A large ovular building much like a small stadium where the Elders came and sat around a large table. The Jedi at the head with the presenter... the elder they had been dealing with thus far.

There was an introduction to each of the elders in the room, each stood and stated where they had come from, their lands as well as their resources, and whether they were for or against the meeting with the Jedi. Of the twenty there were about six who were cautious, and another four who seemed to be vehemently against co-operation. Some of the elders of the group remembered friendships between old Jedi masters in ages gone past and how Jedi had treated them regardless of their history and looks. And they seemed more than ready to regain those friendships... each of these men needed to die...

painfully.

Each of the men were allowed 2 of their bodyguard retinues within the room, while the rest of them were outside and scattered around the area to form a thick web of a security detail, one that would be formidable to any attacking opponent, but thankfully, they were already on the inside, and of the twenty men here, it seemed that there were about thirty guards due to those who had only taken one out of their possible two. But some of these men looked dangerous to say the least... From his position, Iziz was able to think of a half decent way to attack most of the men at the table with his double ended light-sabers... then they would only need to fight their way out... in a hallway the numbers of the Dashade would count for less, but it could put the Sith in a hairy situation...

"Welcome, honoured friends..." - Iziz began, and the talks started.

Some way into the talks, things became a little more heated, some of those who had been cautious did not want their soldiers thrown into the meat grinder while others, older, wiser, wanted to know more intricate details of the deal they were hoping to stage. Iziz tried to inform them that this was simply a meeting calling for council whether or not they would agree to the opening of peaceful negotiations with a representative council member of the Republic.

"If we can get you all to settle on this deal, and we bring a senator here, treaties could be drafted and trade agreements made that would be mutual for everyone, but at the end of it all, we would ask to use your planet as a staging ground and tactical point for trade and the war. "

Iziz finally slipped the card which he knew would cause some controversy, even those who had sided with the Jedi began to question and not like the idea of their planet being used as a military front for the war. It would mean military occupation, which would put a strain on their economy, as well as it would make their planet a target for the prime-evil and the one sith. Which would be bad, as, they were assassins and warriors, but their numbers were not the grandest in the galaxy. Iziz frowned and slouched slightly...

"So... you decline the offer to have our help in allowing your world to become a front to aid us in the struggle against the sith and prime-evil?"

There was an almost unanimous disagreement.

"That's a shame..."

Iziz's mouth perked up in a smile...

it was time.

Force speed flowed through his body as one of the elders continued to talk, explaining why that course of action was not something that they could blindly agree to, how that sort of agreement came with a deep trust which had not yet been established with their people. But it was at this point that Iziz had stopped listening, he gave a very slight signal through the force to the two men who were standing either side of them, knowing that each of them had been buzzing for a fight ever since they had gotten to the planet. And finally, now was the time for them to satiate their blood-thirst. Looking to each of the people i the room Iziz was calculating for a moment, reading their positions as he ran through exactly the movements he would have to make for this to be efficient. As well as which of these men would have to live through the encounter...

wounded or no.

Once he felt like he had a grasp of the situation, telekinesis gripped around his two shoto lightsabers, flinging them into his hands so that he was able to extend the four blades from them. There was a quick reaction of surprise which was cut short by the Jawa hurling each of his blades down the lengths of the tables spinning rapidly at neck height. The spinning of the blades timed oh so perfectly that two of the men in the room would only recieve nicks from the flying blades while the others would be struck dead or completely decapitated. Few managed to escape the lethal blow of their own volition, and so it was up to the Jawa to target these men. Leaving the guards to the other two "Jedi" In the room. Returning his blades to himself he jumped up onto the table that separated them as the elders scrambled for the exit or their guards as the Sith began to cut through their aggressors with precision and full use of their own force powers.

Smart enough to avoid those of the dark-side.

Using force enhanced speed, Iziz charged he first of the elders, cutting one of them down and turning to his guard. Spinning and cutting through his knife which attempted to guard the outside of his leg. Leaving the knife as little more than slag as the light-saber blade continued and hewed through the assassins knee before Iziz jumped, routing the blade up and vertically through the assassin and leaving the grown man in three pieces of odd sizes as his green blade escaped up and through the Dashades shoulder.

Looking and targeting the next of the men on his hit list, Iziz threw one of his spinning sabers again, burning a vertical line of a hole straight through his back vertically as it passed through and returning the spinning blade horizontally so to bisect the Dashade like striking with a Yoyo. Smiling and trying to hold back his laughter as Iziz became lost in the Carnage, something of himself became lost. Hunting down these men, feeding his hunger and lust for superiority, he felt good in this moment. Able to effortlessly cut down giants due to his training, their assassins unable to stand up against the Sith that they were... In moments it was all over, nothing but dead and wounded lying among the corpses as the Dashade council were destroyed, leaving only four of the twenty alive and only 2 of them whole. It would be a lasting impression and damage to the Jedi... one which would not be forgotten for a long time.

So, looking to his brothers, the three activated their stealth generators, and left the area, retreating to their ship wich had been surrounded by Dashade soldiers as they came on board, sneaking up behind those who had boarded the ship, finding a dead dashade in their medical bay. Iziz and his companions killed the three on board quickly from stealth and hit the close on the ramp, stopping any more from entering the ship, taking some blaster damage as they made their get-away toward republic space before boarding Phasma class ships and leaving.

The martyr of a driver making his way to alderaan for a routine shipping round which the ship had strayed from...

It was perfect.
