Silver Engineering​

Silver Engineering is currently seeking out engineers, mechanics, technicians and other associated professions. Workers will be paid, and given a variety of unique rewards. Silver Engineering manufactures military hardware for the Sixth Battalion of the Silver Jedi Order. The Sixth Battalion specialise in unconventional warfare, and thus require unique hardware for combat operations. Workers of Silver Engineering will pool ideas together on future hardware, and create and manufacture the hardware they have designed. In payment, workers will receive payment by Silver Engineering for their work, along with benefits such as access to military grade hardware.

Military hardware, and will be military exclusive, meaning weapons, vehicles etc will be only accessible to the military and not the public. Currently looking to create Skyfighters, walkers, star fighters, weapons (blaster), and gunships.

What do you think of these concepts?

*A single command ship/frigate that can slip past enemy fleets and planetary defenses to insert commandos, submarine style.

*With the technology available, the role of the gunship and star fighter should be rolled into a single heavy assault fighter which a focus on close air support. It can be fitted with a detachable carrier bay that can be dumped (and later recovered) in instances where it needs to engage in dogfighting.

*In place of gunships and sky fighters, and walkers , commandos utilize speeder bikes modified for high altitude insertion, inspired by the way Mandalorians sometimes make planet fall by way of giant war droids. The speeder bikes have multiple configurations, including a turret mode, so they can be used for both rapid transport and fire support.

*Smaller powersuits that can field heavy weapons, and wardroids can also replace the role of walkers.

*Dedicated stealth drones and/or aerostats that survey the operation zone and can provide targeted jamming and remote slicing.

I thought this was an attempt to recruit techies into the organization, not outsource work. I'm assuming there will be a screening processing, and security measures to make it difficult for classified information to be leaked. I'm assuming in the instances where a spy or traitor/defector did get through, they would have to make a thread about stealing a particular piece of info so the organization would be given a chance to stop the theft and apprehend them. So it's not going to be a walk in the park.

I love those ideas, and this is indeed an attempt to recruit techies into Silver Engineering. We have a company, and a laboratory/factory, it's just a matter of doing RP and coming up with cool ideas together. It's both a RPly and OOCly think-tank. And the RP doesn't always focus on building stuff, our laboratories have come under attack before by the New Order - so that's a thing.
