Environment Conservation Operations (ECO) is a compacy based on answering the need to develop a green and inexpensive waste removal. Based on Terminus at the convergence of the Hydian Way and Corellian Trade Spine, the company has realized the potential for gaining further galactic fame by stretching along the trade routes. The primary operating feature of ECO is to collect planetary waste, everything from industrial to organic byproducts, and ship it to one of their primary facilities where using Molecular Furnaces the waste is converted into raw materials or finished goods to be given back to the world.
ECO usually works alongside planetary governments, however, it is open to deals with smaller governments within a planetary heirarchy, knowing the agreements might be more stringent. The company is open to operating with galactic powers, with caveats in place to protect ECO's operation and continued assistance programs. The conventional system is that the government pays ECO to take the waste and then return raw materials or finished goods (depending on the contract). However, for worlds or government that lack the native funding to afford these contracts, ECO has a secondary plan where the company will take the waste for free and the converted results are either sold back to the government or elsewhere in the galactic market depending on the agreement. ECO's main recycling facility is primarily an orbitting structure housing a massive molecular furnace built to convert approximately one eigth of Terminus' daily waste output every day. This waste is transformed into materials sent back to the surface where a small manufacturing plant produces basic amenities, such as prefabricated habitats, air/water filters, nutrient packs, containers, basic household goods (chairs, tables, beds), etc.
A secondary facility was built above Raxus Prime as part of an agreement with a non-profit organization (Raxus Prime Renewal Iniative) which is made up of a smaller furnace. This facility is focused entirely on recycling wreckage and scrap from the surface of the planet and shipping it off-world.
The Raxus Prime Renewal Iniative (RPRI) is closely connected with ECO and the latter has a standing funding process for the former: No less than thirty percent of all proceeds from ECO's business is funneled to RPRI with the end goal being to return Raxus Prime to as close to its original state as possible. This connection aside, ECO remains a politically neutral company, with a mission focus of helping the galaxy's population by cleaning worlds and giving basic necessities to individuals lacking.
