CORPORATION INFORMATION
  • Corporation Name: Ephraim Labors
  • Headquarters: Based on the planet Thyferra.
  • Locations: Thyferra, O'reen
  • Operations: While the operations that Ephraim Labors partakes in vary, the main source of its business is private military contracting, as well as the buying and selling of produced equipment. While the legality of some operations is often brought into question, Ephraim Labors does well in hiding tracks. There is also questionable legality in the weapons they produce, with most not having any official market presence aside from a few select ones. Even those few that are open to the public are questionable in their own right.

DESCRIPTION
Ephraim Labors is a small private military company for the most part. The company itself used to be a larger weapons manufacturing firm based on Thyferra, known as Mihael Co. But calling them the same company is anything but true, for they differ dramatically in structure and goal. Aside from military contracting, they also produce weaponry as well as other tactical equipment, mainly used by themselves. They do contract products, however, selling weapons and such. Typically these contracts go towards larger military groups, but that doesn't mean they don't take special requests, usually charging more for those. their cliental doesn't focus on specific groups or factions, they'll work for anyone who pays them. The main selling point of Ephraim Labors' military contracts is their 'Unbroken Rule', a strict measure that states that they can't be hired by client competitors or the like for as long as the contract stands. There are some who say that the company is a bit more 'unethical' than it should be. Primarily, there are rumors that state weapons testing is performed on primitive populations. To this day, there is no concrete answer.

RATIONALE
As said before, Ephraim labors used to be known as Mihael Co., an arms corporation. James Ephraim himself was a vital part of the corporation. While the goal of Mihael Co. was weapon creation, they did possess some military-like properties. Known as the 'Security Classus', this small, hundred-man force was their insurance, protection in case anything went wrong. James himself was the leading head of this force. Mihael Co. eventually suffered quite the blow, with the CEO dying. With no board, or higher management aside from the CEO who made the company in the first place, the company split between his sons. Caught between infighting and bloodshed, James and the Classus picked no sides. Eventually, there were no sides to pick. With all the sons dead and gone, either by each other or bordering hostile corporations, James was left with Mihael on his plate. Afterwhich, a grueling year would pass as he tried to build something out of the dead company, with nothing but fifty of his soldier left, and a few small factories.
