Epic Hack Battle of the Holonet! [PM to Join]

[member="Jen"]

Today, Papi decided she was going to hack into a security system. Those were always fun. Ever since she had been activated, she had surfed the Holonet in her spare time.

The little AI had taken to "testing" the security systems on banks and other places of value, just for the giggles. She loved to see the fleshies scurry around in a panic as they realized their billion dollar systems were crumpled like paper. It was even more amusing when they realized that nothing was actually stolen.

"What to do, what to do... oh!" One bank website caught her eye. "Best state-of-the-art security systems in the galaxy!" it proclaimed. "Absolutely unhackable!"

"We'll see about that, silly fleshies!" With a borderline diabolical giggle, Papi began to work her way in.

Welcome to Huttisia Bank
"Best state-of-the-art security systems in the galaxy!"
The HoloNet website said as Jennifer's datapad started to load the page. Hmmm, there was a few password related options, some stuff about the company.. Yes, it looked like this one shouldn't be too hard to overcome.

Currently Jennifer, a young half human half ryn, was lying on a couch in her large suite within The Dragon Palace based on the world of Antecedant. Quite a luxurious place, mainly a casino, but also home to the crime syndicate of the planet. But most importantly of all, it had a lovely connection to the HoloNet. She hadn't really been out of the door today and now when she was already relaxing, it didn't hurt to try and cash in some extra credits. So with that she powered up her Sandro V.2.08 and logged onto the CryptNet. It was easier to navigate from there anyway.

Jennifer sighed in fustration, pushing the Sandro Laptop which was lying on the couch with her a bit away. This system was stronger than she had suspected.. Or well.. At least it didn't respond to overloading procedures, there could be multiple reasons to that, the presence of another one that tried to get in maybe, just silently.. Perhaps.. That was the case.

She asked over an external communication link to the HoloSite.. Some would call that a foolish move, but Jennifer was curious.. Or maybe she was just growing paranoid...

Papi was frustrated at this new being's stallment of her progress. She was so close to breaking in!

With a pixelated huff, she opened the message before sending a reply.

Oh, so her suspicions were true after all, someone else was- what was the alias again? Small One? - was trying to get into the same security network as herself.. This was something that didn't happen often and could have huge consequences for herself or the other person that tried to hack into it. Or well, person and person, Jennifer couldn't know that she wasn't dealing with a normal sort of sentient being.

Or something.. Jennifer had actually never encountered another slicer while during work of her own and was not sure how she should handle this matter, she frowned as she slowly went to sit up in her couch, taking a drag from a cigarette who had been resting by the table, blowing out a cloud of cyan smoke afterwards.. Good, good.. Now... Think.

Jennifer scratched her chin as she carefully took off her headphones before pressing enter.. Hopefully this would.. Scare the other person or something. The whining sound file wasn't exactly nice to listen to. Yea, maybe that would do the trick.

Papi read the message, scowling. This other hacker was clearly a fleshie -- despite their adorableness, they could still be rude.

//MESSAGE SENT

As soon as that message was sent, Papi resumed her efforts to hack into the bank; however, her attention was soon caught by a file being sent to her from this Phoenix person. She scanned it, realizing that the file was audio. Even though there was no malware detected in the file itself, Papi was still cautious, so, ready to turn down her audio input, she opened the file.

"That little!" The screeching noise might have made another fleshie lose their concentration, but Papi just shut it off, mad. If that's how you want to play it, then I'll show you who's boss!

Abandoning her attempts at the bank, Papi searched for an appropriate response. Finally, she found a suitable picture to send and, as an afterthought, attached and hid herself within the file. Papi wanted to get a look at this fleshie's equipment.

Jennifer smirked at the response, adjusting herself a bit by her Sandro as she saw she force send a file as well, scanning it before opening it. Yea she didn't find anything and it wasn't like her own softwares had taken A.I's into account, they were rare these days.

As Jennifer opened the picture she squinted her eyes, chukling at herself before closing it. WOW, that's just.. Too far almost. These hutta's sure are.. Yea. What Jennifer didn't notice for at least the first couple of seconds was that an intrusion had been made on her computer. Yep, Papi was in. For now at least.
