- Hellbore -
- Born from the design of the Hellbore, the 'Velok' is a rifle built on the larger energy projector platform where as most rifles of its style are built as blasters or lasers. This energy torpedo platform allows the ER-30 to shoot its rounds at 20% the speed of light - while landing with an explosive slam surpassing even a Maser of the Chiss.

- Due to the near instant delivery of its projectiles, and the fact its made of light - the rounds are unaffected by the various elements that would affect normal munitions. Wind, gravity, adjusted sights - none of these are necessary when making long range shots with the 'Velok' as it will hit exactly where its sights are set, putting the entire accuracy of the rifle in the hands of its handler.
- CQB -
- Due to the length of the rifle, the 'Velok' is not as viable indoors as it is outdoors. Due to this, most user of the weapon are required to carry a smaller weapon for CQB operations, while the Velok is the domineering force when in open long distance combat.

- In part because of the overheating nature of the energy torpedo rounds, the ER-30 can not fire as fast as contemporaries; though this is played into since it doesn't necessarily need to. This makes situational midrange operations weaker, and any situation needing covering fire cand be lacking - since only a few rounds will go down range at a time by comparison to rotary blasters.
Commissioned in 865 ABY, Jaeger Solutions created the ER-30 as the standard issue battle rifle of the Sith Eternal. Researched and designed based on the far larger Hellbore, bringing the design down to a far smaller scale allowed the Sith Eternal to compensate against more numerous enemy forces with sheer technology and design - making a rifle that not only had supreme accuracy dependent solely on the user, but one that could deliver and explosive round at near the speed of light.
Using an energy projector stored in the buffer tube, the ER-30 can shoot a miniature 'energy torpedo' at 20% the speed of light - effectively covering the distance of any given combat situation instantly. This alone makes it a perfect rifle to combat Force Users - as the sheer speed of the round makes even precognition nigh pointless when the body can't match the round's speed; but even when blocked, the explosive payload of the round hits harder than even a Maser. This effectively makes it a rifle capable of killing a soldier in full armor in a single shot - if not outright disable him for the rest of the battle.
Due to these many things, the rifle is prohibitively expensive - but one the Sith Eternal was happy for pay for. Further in Maliphant's debt, the Sith Eternal greedily grabbed as many of the rifles as possible and began to ship them across the galaxy to their cults and military units hidden around the galaxy. Now, there was nothing left but to use them.
