- Culture:
- The people of Erinar follow the Eriadu code of conduct, a simple manner of life in which one has to be responsible for their own safety and security in all walks of life. It promotes the ideal of a strong mind in a strong body, disregarding genders and their roles completely in that regard. This code of Conduct has also been the driving core behind the original isolationist beliefs that both Eriadu and Erinar held for a long time, to be self reliant and independent above all. Though ofcourse, as is visible with the different structure of government, so too have the people on Erinar adapted in a different way to this code throughout the ages.
- On Erinar, it is expected of people to hone their crafts, to spend great amounts of time, education and dedication towards the mastery of their chosen profession or even something as simply as a talent. Part of the Erinar culture is that any and all entertaintment available must also be educational in the sense that everything must either purvey a story or a truth, no matter what sort of entertaintment or performance it may be. There are dances and operas, shows and theatre, but all have one thing in common as said before: they are all educational about something, be it the planet's history, it's relation to Eriadu or even it's government.
- Despite it's deeprooted perfectionist and educational ideas, there is one simple exception to this matter and those are the Houses of Pleasure, which unlike what people think were not houses of any dubious nature, but with the name simply being a result of a bad translation from Twi'lek to Eriaduan Basic from what was originally meant to mean home of good health. These places started popping up when there was a great influx of Twi'lek's and their culture. This meshed surprisingly well with the people of Erinar, who enjoyed the traditional dances being taught, the arts and crafts without any educational or selfserving property to them, in a rather selfish and prideful culture, this sparkle of enjoyment, freedom and social interaction became a welcome distraction. These days the "houses of pleasure" are seen as the gathering places for people of all walks of life.
- Government: Aristocratic Oligarchy
- Affiliation: Eriadu Viceroyalty | Confederacy of Independant Systems
- Wealth: Moderate
- Though seen as somewhat underdeveloped in comparison to the core worlds, the populace has access to all common technology and have access to galactic information networks and companies, though certain traditional settlements still exist.
- Stability: Very High
- Though one might think the planet's government structure looks unfair in the sense that only a happy few born in powerful aristocratic families are in control of the governance of the planet, luckily the planet's age old system does count in the merits of their rulers. Should the people see a leader as unfit, they may voice their opinion. In the same way, members of the families are urged to study, explore and learn, to better their crafts and skills and overall competence.
- Freedom & Oppression: High
- Just as it is in Eriadu, the populace are free to choose their lot in life, to aspire new things and to have ambition. Though there is a system of law, it is a moderate approach and will rarely see incarcerationor even capital punishment, instead focusing on rehabilitation and re-education through various government programs in schooling and the jobmarket.
- Military: Moderate
- Technology: High
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Erinar was once a planet completely overgrown with great forests and nothing but endless grassy plains, but when the people of Eriadu decided they needed more living space more than twenty-thousand years ago, after the fall of the great infinite empire, the first colonists managed to arrive on eriadu's neighbouring planet Erinar, which was similar to their homseworl in size, climate and gravity, allowing for a rapid colonization as a result. However, turmoil on the homeworld ended the transfer of people and when Eriadu cut off its colonization efforts, Erinar started to develop on its own.
For thousands of years, the planet's populace evolved from eriaduan culture into their own, praising new gods, following different systems of culture, education and so on, eventually becoming their own seperate culture within the system. It even went so far that those from Erinar began to question Eriadu's superiority within the Eriadu system and as such, tension rose between the two inhabited planets within the system, always staying just short of an actual war. These tensions would not subside until the fall of the one sith empire, many centuries ago. At which point Eriadu ruled by the ever present Tarkin family and Erinar ruled by a collection of noble houses and their representatives forged a pact of mutual acknowledgement within the system.
While Eriadu expanded it's galactic influence over time, Erinar did not have any wish for dominance and thus started to rely on Eriadu's protection in exchange for an economic presence upon their planet, which resulted in the beginning of the exploitation of Erinar's mineral deposits and variety of ores. Though this eventually lead to tension rising again when Eriadu got swept up within the former Eriadu Ascendancy, the take over by the Confederacy of Independent systems wasn't looked at favorably either, as just like Eriadu, Erinar valued the neutrality and liberty of its people and the past had shown that no great empire or faction could prevent the cultural decline of their systems or would be willing to help in times of actual need.
This stance changed though when it was made widely known that the Eriadu star system would fall under the governance of a single viceroy, allowing in turn for greater cultural connection and political coexistance with the Eriaduan people who had long been seen as rivals or even oppressors, which the rules of the Confederacy would thus prevent from happening. For now the people of Erinar simply hope that they can maintain their own culture under this new rule and enjoy peace and tranquility once more.
